Just got these f5’s from @thejurgy on. Looking absolutely epic but the rubbing on my (already chopped) cab mount is REAL. Can’t make a hard right turn, much less uturn LOL!!

+2” bilstein 8112 lift in front.

Please tell me maxing out caster will fix this... these things look too good to take off.

**Update: Increasing caster to 4.0deg eliminated rubbing at the back of the wheel well. Now rubbing at the front of wheel well/bottom of fender when turning in reverse. Bit of trimming and heat gunning should fix.

Welcome to the -38mm F5 world! The rubbing is real. You’ll need to push more than 3+ caster and preload to get 2.75” to clear. Oh and possibly a cab mount relocate!

Uh, oh... I’ve been looking at you & @leecampaign thinking “no problem!” LOL.

Dunno if I can preload my Bilstein’s that much and still keep the min droop they ask for(?).

    Ugh... giddy up.

Yes, caster is a key element to fitting those. I was slightly under 4 degrees and it eliminated most of the rubbing. Hopefully they're worth making them fit because they look good!!

Damn. Was afraid of that. Guess I’ll just be ordering some 17x8.5” F5s when they’re back in stock

It's well worth it if you like the look! It's the exact image I wanted. I like to see tire and lip from certain angles.

Bilstein 8112’s install instructions suggest increasing track width. I’m just following the instructions :)

what size tires are you running for you to get that kind of rub even with 2" of lift?

285/70 r17 but it’s the wheels (3.5” BS + 9” width) that create the issue.

Update: alignment to maximize caster to 4.0deg solved the cab mount rubbing. Now need a bit of plastic trimming / heat gunning at the front of the wheel wells and I’ll be rub-less (on the street at least).
