I’m 24 and have full coverage on my Tacoma, 04 4runner, renters insurance, and my classic Chevy in suspense for about $220 a month.

Locked down the oil change tonight after work. Went over schedule by 5k miles :anonymous:

Not to make this an oil thread but I changed to Mobil1 from Amsoil. We shall see if there is a difference.

I switched from synthetic Mobil1 to synthetic Penzoil last time and it looks like its holding up way better than the Mobil1 did at 5k miles...the Mobil was dark as night at 5k and the Penzoil is still nice and gold. Not that the color alone is the best way to judge it but I'll take it as a good sign.

If you're using synthetic you're wasting your money changing at 3k miles IMO...you should be able to go 5k at least. I go 3 - 5k between changes on high mileage synthetic depending on how I feel about it come 5k.

Should still last longer but it's better to change it too frequently than not frequently enough, that's for sure

I change like every 3 month, I hardly put any miles on my truck so i just change every 3k. When i was going to trade school i was change atleast 1 once a month and that’s if I waited till 5k.
I was also filling up my gas tank 2-3 times a week it sucked lol

Definitely send it to Blackstone. I’ve done it on all my cars, including the 5-lug and it really shows you the health of the engine that you otherwise woulda never know.

I saw a video somewhere that compared 5w30 amsoil to mobil1. The latter has better viscosity as lower temps. We do get -40 here so it's a concern. Also I plan to send this sample to amsoil as it is amsoil I took out.

    tell that to my wallet.

Why does Amazon offer items with prime shipping if they know it won't get to ya in 2 days? Waiting on a 12mm hex socket for the front diff drain - no idea why mine is a different size than the fill plug, which is the standard 10mm hex
