@mach1man001 wheels fit perfectly. I have a feeling I'll be needing the other but he won't commit to it just yet... He thinks he can find one cheap somewhere else. I'll let him search for a couple days and call you back for the other one once he realizes Yaris parts aren't overly common

well dudes looking into starting an LLC so I can start selling our products via the forum. A1 doesn't sell direct to consumers so we need a middle man, so I'm going to try and step in and do that. No idea how to get started other than get an attorney to do the paperwork for me lol. Need a name though for the company too.

Dude you don't need to go that far yet. You can start up a business by going down to the city hall of the town you want to start up the business in and apply for a DBA for a very small fee (and they usually are very easy to obtain). That's a good 1st step for most start ups. LLC is better for down the road if your business gets established to separate yourself legally but a DBA is fine for now

Yeah, a friend does IT consulting on the side and did that. He also has liability insurance, but only because he'll go and do on-site work for businesses--doubt you'd need that.

I think he also talked with an accountant in the very beginning to make sure he had accounts setup properly and was setting aside the appropriate amount for taxes. I know he files everything on his own though.

I've actually been doing a lot of digging on this to help protect myself come the next tax season.

So you can start a single member LLC which will allow the business to seperate from you so you don't carry all of the liability but, can file for taxes with your personal one. A DBA will only protect you within the state not recognized federally. I think in MA it's ~$500 to file the paperwork for a LLC/DBA. It's a high cost to get the name trademarked to protect it federally. I will say that finding information on how to do all of this correctly is a bitch to find; some of the gov sites with info just removed the pages. Really need to talk to someone about it. I don't know much about it but there's a lot to consider with it.

That's the thing. I don't want the liability. Last thing I want is to be in over my head and all hell breaks loose lol. And it is a pain in the ass to find information. I am on the taunton site and can't find crap lol

My suggestion would be the single member LLC, saves some business taxes and creates a seperate entity. Doing a DBA is basically giving yourself a name that you're selling under; instead of having a Tax ID for the business it would be your SS. Legalzoom.com has some information but google is truly your friend in this process. I honestly had to take a step from it because it was just stressing me out. I will say that on my last taxes with only selling the Cubby Caps and only have a portion of sales reported by PayPal it took $600 out of my refund instantly & next year is going to be a lot worse if I don't do anything to protect myself.

Well the DBA lets you start up (and I believe it's only $50 or so to get) and then I'd just put up a bunch of disclosures to cover yourself for now but they only go so far. The LLC like I said before is really to separate yourself from your business. Insurance can be had either way

My only suggestion is no numbers. I worked for a place where we had binders in the name that were spelled out, so giving out our name or email was always a pain. "Three, but spelled out" "the number 3?" "Yes but spelled all the way out". Half the time I wouldn't get the emails

Thank god I didn't do that in the name I came up with. Didn't even think of something like that.

Well the turd pulled it just fine - felt much more responsive than the old ecoboost. Hovered around 10 mpg heading to Maine; only major downside is that it doesn't have the massive 36 gallon tank of the F150 so had to fuel up while pulling the trailer.

Went to Flat Rock Bridge Campground in Lebanon. Because school is still in session, we more or less had the entire campground to ourselves (which is great when you have a 2 year old who's favorite thing to do is screech)
