I find any sport wasteful. Go outside, build something, learn something new. Dont memorize stats on someone who doesnt care about you

 

I agree that watching them could be wasteful, in a sense. The memories made and friendships and relationships I developed while growing up playing sports was not wasteful.

some could argue that offroading is wasteful. not many of us have a NEED to go offroad (meaning to actually get somewhere we have to be) but we do it because we enjoy it.

same could be said for camping... unless youre homeless, a tent is a massive downgrade from where you actually normally sleep. We do it because it's relaxing / fun / entertaining

just because YOU arent into it doesnt mean it's "wasteful." Some consider the display of athletic ability and competition as pretty entertaining and fun.

 

I think we can all agree that talking about what activity is a waste of time is a waste of time ... unless of course you are at work.

 

I, for one, enjoy wasting my time.

I didn't mean to pile on @fatfurious2, just saying that everyone enjoys what they enjoy - no need to knock them.

Anyways, wasting time is one of my favorite pastimes.

 

It’s never a waste of time if a memory is made or it’s enjoyable.

So I almost had a really bad day. Who knows what happens when your electricians wire 480v into a 240v piece of equipment? Let's just say I was close and it wasn't fun.
