    @Speedytech7

    I found out why that guy who used to own the rolled truck in that Hotwire truck video from earlier never came to pick it back up again.

    Eh for something they're gonna build a crawler out of anyway that's fine. Chop it off make a new section out of 2x4 .120wall and ditch the lame leaf springs for some coils

    I’m having the greatest luck with my portable storage containers wonderful cars.

    It’s funny, I buy a random used battery from the Pick-n-Pull for $40 to replace the dead one in the 5-lug and after letting it sit for days even weeks on end I have never had it die or prevent the truck from turning over.

    My Civic uses a weird specialized battery group and the junkyard didn’t have one, so I was forced to buy brand new at Wal-Mart for about $120.

    It barely holds a charge after a couple of days. You let it sit for more than 48 hours and it’s gone.

    It’s either parasitic draw, or my battery is a dud. Who knows. I might warranty the battery and see what happens.

    Cracks at the weld are super common in aluminum. When I say its hard to weld aluminum, I can't exaggerate it enough. I have seen reputable fab shops turn out garbage welds on it when they can lay a stack of dimes on steel or stainless no issue. I don't mess with it as its not worth my time or patience.

    I’ve heard over and over that it’s hard to weld aluminum, I just didn’t know if cracking was common. Seems like steel just bends when it needs to.

    Yeah aluminum just isn’t that strong, great for applications which you want light weight but not as strong as steel
    Edit: in the bicycle world aluminum is good for street bikes but on bmx or mtn bikes they are prone to cracking alot

    That's a good automatic though, but I know what ya mean. Still put a shift kit in it and it'll be snappier than any manual ever could be

    IS300 probably won't be your respite then. Miatas are fun if you can fit in them though, I wanted one of those pretty bad but I don't really fit. Next fast thing for me will be a 300zx

    Lol, new jobs are fun like that huh. I just started working again last week, it was really daunting cause like 5 people told me it was really rough/ dangerous, but you learn really quick there’s a few easy ways and a lot of hard ways to do things.

    You also learn really fast when youre working somewhere that could potentially hurt/ kill you and the people around you. (Oil rig)

    It’s really busy/ exhausting though. Goes by fast.
