Verizon worked for me at Panther Junction, otherwise non-existant service for the most part. Don't rely on it.

AT&T worked at Panther station and here and there in the park but I wouldn't rely on it.

if you want to get a hold of anyone for anything important, take a SAT Phone. Depends on where you are going but in the basins you'll have none or just enough service to be frustrated. there is one pay phone at Chisos Basin Lodge.

Wellllll.... I can tell you that in Marathon, Sprint, ATT and Verizon all work, but, Sprint sucks donkey balls. In the park itself if you have wifi calling there is wifi at Panther Junction, and a little cell signal. It's really a matter of where you are in the park and how high up you are. I would not count on being able to use a cell phone to call for help if the shit hits the fan, you'd need to plan on hoofing it. Bring lots of water. If you REALLY want to communicate out there (I normally don't) then a sat phone would probably be the best and most reliable option.

Seriously though, while it's remote, if you have to start walking, stick to the "roads", I have never been out there and not seen at least ONE other vehicle in a 12-24 hour period.

Well that's why I asked b/c I asked for an appointment for Friday to which the guy said ok what time? I responded with 3:00 PM Friday and he told me i'd need to drop it off by 1:00 to guarantee its done by 6:00 PM o_Oo_Oo_O ..... I responded with HUH?! What's the point of an appointment? :annoyed:

@ChadsPride - Were they able to get you the alignment specs you requested? The one on Mopac couldn't do it so when I got new wheels / tires I took it up to Precision Tune Auto Care in Leander.
