Just teach em to screech in tune and your on to something there.

When I read Lebanon, I was thinking the "Ballon" campground of 111, but this is a different one that I didn't know about. I am amazed at how many places there are to camp in Maine.

Anybody in here modified their safety cans? I did one of mine last week because I was tired of standing for 10 minutes in a rocking boat in the middle of the lake waiting for the fuel in my 5 gallon can to eventually trickle its way down into the tank for the outboard. New system is MUCH better and faster, and only cost me a couple of bucks.

Basically I drilled a hole in the tank behind the handle, where the plastic is thick, and threaded this in:
    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Powermate-1-4-in-NPT-Tank-Drain-Valve-072-0006RP/202593196

and sealed it with some fuel-resistant gasket sealer. Had a chance to test it on the boat over the weekend and now the entire can drains in something like 50-60 seconds instead of taking forever. Doesn't leak, either, even when it's on its side and has been in the sun. And the valve is all brass, so there's no rubber gasket to fail if it gets fuel on it. I'm going to pick up one of the unvented spouts for it tonight after work and that should drop the drain time down around 30 seconds or so.

That was honestly the hardest part of starting my guitar repair biz. Instrument repair? Guitar repair? Go for something funny? Sweated that one out for ages, and finally did a focus group via bcc email with a bunch of people whose opinions I respected. That brought me back to earth on the creative names, for sure. Best of luck - it's the hardest kind of work, and the most rewarding feeling.

I’ve added vents to all of my boat cans for this exact reason it can be dangerous with a slow pouring can on a rough day

Exactly. What's the first thing a boat does when it's not under power? Turns broadside to the wave. Which makes it even harder to use those damn safety cans, since you're rocking back & forth with the boat.
