Thank you for the info. Seeing the vet at noon so we’ll ask him about it. Sounds like a good backup for emergencies like you said.

Antibiotics are usually cause diarrhea, the constipation is certainly pain medication. Since she's off of them she should produce a bowel movement in a couple days, it shouldn't cause too much discomfort. A week in is usually when they'll start to worry. Keeping her hydrated is the best you can do for now to aid that I can think of. The stagnant lifestyle certainly doesn't help but the healing process is more important right now.

Nice to see a Pharmacist here  I'm a lead tech haha

She went to the vet again today for a check up. Gave her more subcutaneous fluids. Vet also gave us some different cat food AD that got a lot of water in it and is better for her than baby food. Also did a quick scan of her abdomen and he said her intestine was actually still empty. Not surprised he said since the food that she’s eating is absorbed and produces very little waste. She’s
Also got the go ahead to be out in the rest of the house and have access to Louisa and Amos. I think this will help her increase her activity and maybe encourage her to eat on her own. Right now she sleeping up against my side right under my armpit and she’s dreaming awayimage.jpg

What’s BCNP? Sounds like you’ve got more than 1 good angle for some good pharmaceuticals if you ever need them. I sure could have used some ambien and Xanax to get through this ordeal.

Ho lee shit! That’s quite a title. I hear that ambien makes for a good night sleep. Don’t even need anything nuclear. I can even sign up for a clinical trial

Not to steal any thunder, but to lighten up the mood for a moment, here's a picture of my cat, next to a picture I painted of her, that's next to a wonderful puke stain she put on my nice blanket :puke:

    Don’t you mean “her” blanket.

I wish I had the ability to paint my cats. I just don’t have that talent. I’d be better off framing the puke stain.

    Good looking kitty!!

Thank you! She ate a bit today and wife said she saw her grooming herself a little too. I’ll take ever and any positive, even the small ones. She was really trying to go poo a little while ago and a little rosebud came out. We were a little worried that when the vet took out her guts out her out them back in with a kink. It was really hard being back at work today but I think it was good for everyone.
Hey @gasperic104 you have a stunning little kitty there! Consider anything special or near and dear to you ruined. Someday you’ll look back and cherish the puke stain you cat left behind.keep those amazing cat pictures coming!!!

If that was my cat I’d have her trained to go for the Brussel sprouts first. Suki and Louisa can’t stand people food but Amos on the other hand... what a little pain in the ass! Can’t turn your head for a second. Brussels are Not for everyone but I love them!

Kink only eats dry food, meow mix tuna flavored wet food (has to be the tuna), the occasional begging for lunch meat, and she adores any kind of cheese she can get her paws on. Cheese is the way to her heart. As a native wisconsinite, I am very proud of that

One of our former cats went nuts for popcorn and would eat Doritos if you dropped one.
