Awesome! Thanks, Phil! I was actually thinking of painting grey as well, but maybe a shade darker than that build. Good perspective to show the wife though. I asked her paint or carpet and her response was, "Well... Let me see what both look like first before I decide." :goingcrazy:

damn, had i known i could have brought some remnant commercial grade carpet that is durable and easily cleaned and wont hold dirt (also waterproof). Added with the small pad on the back is somewhat comfortable to stand on but low pile height so it wont just be a dirt collector. We have a ton at the shop too small to use elsewhere.

Paint will work great too though.

Thanks, Sam! The wife actually likes the painted version Phil just posted. She also just let me know she's against the carpet because it looks like her dad's old camper build out LOL

    Dang, dude, shit's looking sweet!

Prolly too late but why go painted or carpet vs a deck seal or some sort of all-weather wood sealant? I like the warmth the wood brings and the figuring gives it some design.

Thanks! I guess just personal preference. The paint also hides all of the imperfections better.

Plus this whole set up with the plywood is probably temporary. Gonna camp in it all summer and see how I like the configuration of everything then eventually do 80/20 to build it over again.

80/20 is so versatile and much stronger.

    Yeah and lightweight!

Pretty sure I'll end up with 80/20 eventually. And even if I like the current configuration, at least now I know the exact measurements I need and can order precut 80/20 from Grainger. All of the slides, hinges, pull handles I'm putting in can be transferred to a new set up if needed.

 Imperfections? What? That's crazy talk! :D

I getcha. So far it's looking pretty damn good for temporary. Should be so much lighter with the 80/20, though, that'll be awesome!

I am curious about the stand on the end of your swingout. It looks like a great solution to prevent the weight of the arm from causing a twisting of the spindle on the bumper. Something I am experiencing on mine.

What is it? Is it commercially available? It looks like it might by hydraulic and adjustable.

I looks like a simple jack stand or load lock. Harbor freight or maybe trailer supply?
