Will tails from a 98 fit a 02?

    i think so.. not positive though.. somebody correct me if im wrong

    I would say yes...I think Toyota only added a front facelift and crewcab 01 :cool:

    01 SR: Double Cab conversion, S/C, lowered.
    They will physically fit up, but they won't work right. The grounding scheme changed in 2001.

    Im 99% sure that you can use the wiring harness off of the 02, and they will snap into the 98's

    As far as the phisical dimensions; identical...

    that shouldnt matter.. you take the bulbs out of one tail light and put them in the other one.. then screw it back to the truck..

    i just swapped some from 02 to my 98... 98 to 02 doesnt work right tho...

    u mean swap over the bulbs and little wiring harness from one housing to the other? probly will work...

    yes, as i believe they will twist right in..

    I remember i bought a set off of an 04, and they fit on my 00, and they came with the 04 harness, and they were different.. But i removed them and used my 00 harness. so i cant see it being a problem to swap them the opposite way.

    yeah ur probly right on the dot. i just simply swapped complete housings over and my connectors just dont use one of the pins on the newer tail lights...
