Fallout 76

Only thing is NV wasn't multiplayer and arguably has the best storyline out of any fallout.

 

If this new concept was true the new elder scrolls will be multiplayer. I don't see them changing the main game and how it functions i.e. Fallout 5. In aspect of name it is what bad company is to battlefield titles.

 

I'm going to be choked if I spend 100 hours building a base and some random dickhole nukes it

Meh Im not looking to much into anything till the beta and people see how the actual game is. That article even mentions its all speculation.

I really do think the beta will make or break the game, sure some people will play no matter what but i get the sense a vast majority of people are 50/50 on it.

 

These are significant fears I have. Cause and effect.

Damn this really scares me like how Ark is. Im hoping they wont make the constraints as linear to Ark with the way of who ever doesn't have a life is the king...but it sounds like it very well could be that way. Question is if building stuff isn't necessarily your thing and you don't really possess much that can be "nuked," makes you wonder how much story and other things you can enjoy free of teabagging?

From what Todd Howard said, its gonna be ALWAYS ONLINE, but you are not required to team up. Which ultimately means, if you want a solo experience look elsewhere. Not a fan of the whole Nuke aspect either. I just finish my base after several hours of material gathering, and caps spent on the CAMP tool and boom some greifer with nothing better to do nukes it. Awesome... Or they nuke/kill the quest givers and now I can no longer do my quests (unless they are invincible). Not a fan of having to watch my back constantly in a game that's supposed to be story driven, full of easter eggs, and immersive. The whole fun of Bethesda SP games is searching every nook and cranny for cool stuff. I've been slowly playing FO4 doing hundreds of side missions and slowly picking my way through the BOS to

In Skyrim I've done maybe 3 main story quests, the rest I've been building the strongest character and gear I possibly can and checking out all the different dungeons and side stories.

The whole forced MP thing is really going to turn a lot of people off. I probably won't pick this title up until someones either modded it to run solo servers or its like 15 bucks on steam sale and the servers are all dead.
