Even with a roof rack, I'll still weigh in lighter than 90% of the trucks on this site.

Do not believe in adding pork. Old racer in me says keep the weight for boat anchors.

And all along all I heard was how dumb a roof rack was with junk on top of it from Bill.

You been having these voices in your head for long? Seek medical help for paranoid schizophrenia..

And, do you see anything on a roof rack on my truck?:facepalm:

Way back when we were kidding about "Overlanding" and you were making comments about plastic containers on top of a roof rack. So why have a roof rack to put nothing on it? I'm not wasting time to go back and find the exact statement to quote.

Reading COMPREHENSION skills lacking somewhat, hey?....So where's the "dumb" come from that you imagined? Where do you see a plastic container mentioned in my most recent list as something you'll see on my truck?

You are however, wasting your time. I remember EXACTLY what I had to say. You apparently understood those words to mean something other than what was actually printed. Try to keep up.

As far as why I'd possibly put a roof rack on, that was explained. If you're having difficulty understanding that explanation, well, I can't help you with that. It was put in the most simple words possible. No one else apparently had any struggles with it. YMMV.

Just because you don't understand, that doesn't mean I'm wrong. it just means you don't understand.

Do I need to buy the brackets? I may chop regardless once I find the funds for the new wheel and tire combo. I didn’t realize it was just cut and weld. I thought it required completely relocating the cab mount.

I've seen it done where the original face of the cab mount is re-used. It's probably easier to just cut a new piece from appropriate thickness of metal plate. When Everett did mine, he simply cut new pieces with a cut off wheel.

Ok cool. I could handle $80 for peace of mind.

Now what do you think I could get for my 17” TRD Sport wheels with 265/70/r17 C rated BFG KO2s on them? The tires have about 11/32nds of tread left on all four. So that’s about 70% life left on them. And I know it’s a popular upgrade size amongst the 2nd gen folks.

If you say so. Didn't know there was a certain thing you "had" to put on or use a roof rack for besides more storage. Just seems funny you dogging one then wanting one is all. Carry on.

Seems funny you imagine I was dogging you over the roof rack. That paranoia thing again I suppose...
