Oh man bummer on the damage to the truck. How often to you wheel/camp? I do a decent amount of camping but I have a toy hauler so that makes things pretty easy ha

I don't like the damage but it's worth it for the fun I'm having. I'll get smarter and make better decisions because it's now costing me other mods. I'm in no rush to fix the damage but it will get fixed when I find the right deals.
I try and get out wheeling once a month, sometimes more and sometimes less. Camping tends to always be less mainly because I don't like going to camp grounds and living in TX that's about the only option with out a big drive.

Right on. I need to get out there and do some wheeling. I haven't gone out since the first weekend in March. With everything I have going on right now getting out there isn't easy.

Life tends to make things more difficult. I'm a single guy with a dog so it can be pretty easy for me with only work getting in the way. Here in Tx the only legal offroading areas are 2 off road parks 1.5-2.5 hrs away. To get to any public land areas that I know of are 10-12 hrs away. I'm hoping to experience some of what Cali has to offer for offroading next year. I'm wanting to take 3 weeks and make a huge trip, camping almost every night and wheeling where I can. Cut across to Phoenix to see my sis for a evening and then out and start north around San Diego and up the coast stopping through Orange county(Mission Viejo/Trabuco Canyon/Lake Forest areas) to see what my childhood stomping grounds have turned into(last time I saw it was around 14 yrs ago, been almost 25yrs since I lived there as a kid) and continue up the coast to Seattle. After a very short stop to reminisce about all my times up the Space Needle and Fish pier in Seattle at a very young age I'll continue the adventure back down back to Tx.

Swing out and spare tire mounted! Time to find a new back up camera and eventually order jerry cans so I have a reason to mount the can holder. I'll wait to mount the jerry can carrier until I get some jerry cans and reason to have it on the truck. I'll get the camp table installed sometime later also. Hoping the rear camera may still be a little useful but after the tire went on I doubt it.

Also I'll need new fender flares some day(already needed a new front driver one from one of my last mishaps off roading when I bashed in the bumper). When drilling for the new bedside support and reading to be very careful to not drill through the flare, I did exactly that and drilled through both fender flares.:rofl:

Yes it does. This weekend I'll probably try and hammer to top down flat again and maybe get a little more of the dent popped out. It had been annoying using the backup camera with a slight angle but I'm pretty sure after mounting the tire that the back up camera is now useless. I'm about to head out for a while so I'll find out soon.

Def worth the wait. I would have never been happy without the HC version. One of the bedside mounts that was removed from the bedside cut was bent 90°.

Just the usual, work in trying to get through the days. Ready for a wheeling/camping trip but it's too damn hot in texas.

Im excited, its thanks to @gulzeb for seeing it and posting in the dfw thread. I've been watching for 1 for a while and have been too cheap to buy new. Only thing I may need to change is the last cross bar to a 1x1 to clear the shark fin.
