@Jamesboy2233, my bed is still too far from the cab. At least it's not as crooked as it was. Thanks for helping me straighten it out! These are pics from a voodoo thread. IMG_0874.jpg IMG_0844.jpg

I'd say that my total cost for Carlisle (hotel, gas, show admission, food, and any vintage truck brochures I buy) is going to be around $500-$700; Not bad for a 3-day vacation!

NOTE: Do NOT use Hotels.com to reserve a room. They charge your credit card immediately despite saying they won't charge it. Luckily I had the money saved up...

EDIT: Turns out that this was a non-refundable "special deal" and part of the "deal" was that my credit card got immediately charged.

I have been running Valvoline full synthetic for the last 5 months and almost 5,000 miles. My dad has convinced me to switch to Mobil 1.

My truck is a 2.7L/auto 5-lug with a little over 84,100 miles, and I ran the manufacturer-suggested semi-synthetic oil for the first 79,500 miles.

My dad and I are debating whether to use Mobil 1 or Mobil Super Synthetic.

My truck is going in for some bodywork, and it's also getting new rear brakes (I have the original brake shoes at 84K and the last time I got the truck inspected I was told I would probably need new rear brakes this fall) and an oil change.

So, Mobil 1 or Mobile Super Synthetic?

I personally would run what the manual says. Brand doesnt matter. I run Mobile1 full syn, but thats what the book says.

    all tore up already
Good luck with that one. When I sold car parts I met a Mobil rep once and my first question was what's the difference. He didnt have a clue just different additives. Since then I've run a quality filter and the cheapest full synth oil I can find. Oh and which in each line?

Been running Mobil 1 for years with no issues. It hardly burns a drop between changes. I don't buy into all the variations of Synthetics they are coming up with.
