I'd rather peal the skin off my cock like a banana than drive a GM.

Skye hates GM even more than I do lmao.

She was raised in a Toyota family.

She grew up with 1986 Corolla, 90s 4runner and now a 2002 camry
and if it comes to full size she likes Ford since she grew up with her dad driving F350s

When we were at my sister's who's neighbour has the new Colorodo as well she said 'eww what an ugly truck'

I was proud to call her my girlfriend :) lol

I give that zr2 credit it does seem to be doing great off road for Taylor, but fuck are they ever ugly and just typical GM reliability bullshit, and depreciation like a falling brick.

It’s been good. No real issues, still making a terrible noise when swaying back and fourth. But other than that, its been good. Long term will be the real question but if its close to toyota then its a wash. And depreciation is a wash also, its a truck. 4x4 trucks have a good resale regardless. Colorado makes top 10 list for best resale on trucks, tacoma at 1 obviously but it still makes the list.

But i always compare my truck vs yours. I spent alot less for almost the same performance.

I'm going to need upgrades too and was thinking along the same lines as you. Fox would be perfect but having to rebuild constantly is such an annoyance.

It is a bigger bang for the buck. But I hear more taco making it past 300k than anything gm.

I should mention every gm my parents have owned or other family members owned were massive pieces of shit besides my uncle's 3500 Denali Sierra. Outside of the Denali gm interior is cheap and ugly as sin.

And I've heard so many horror stories about both the plants and the vehicles in general I just couldn't buy one.

But I am really curious to see how yours ends up longevity wise. Performance I will admit it's pretty impressive, all you get for the price.

Tony is older I figured he'd know miles lol.

But yes every 80k is the scheduled rebuilds for fox if it isn't being used for desert running.

Funny you say that, completely off topic. I know a few friends that work for toyota making the camry and rav4? I think.
And i hear the shit they do at the factory with the vehicles sometimes if there behind or need to get more done. And there one of the most reliable vehicles made.
Makes you wonder what goes on at GM etc.

Lol...I've always been Metric except for work, some reason lot of construction still uses Imperial. Canada was already on Metric when I was in school.

Modified the level of gas in the tank
Wife's 2006 rav4...bought 2007 with 14k kms. Now 250K kms...original battery, original exhaust, body is clean no signs of rust (Eugene saw it). Only cost me tires, brakes, oil and fuel (4cyl)

Daily driver to DT Toronto...its got some tales to tell

I don't even know what the competing GM is (built down the street at CAMI methinks) but between whatever it is and the Ford escape...couldnt give me one for free over the rav4

My Tacoma replaced a 2006 Sierra 1500 z71. Needless to say the toy is an improvement in all but towing. The 5.3 vortec was/is a stout motor and was very strong powertrain through the 250K kms I put on it when I sold it. Had it for 7 yrs and from a depreciation standpoint cost me $1k per year. It was everything around that powertrain that started falling down (hard) at 200K that made me sell it.

Replaced AC compressor, tranny return line, main brake line out from Master Cylinder (that was fun, failed brakes on Queens Park Circle, bailed into the legislature parking lot with E-brake...at the front door. Lol), power steering line...more all in the last 12 months of ownership. Big 3 stuff gets tired faster.

There are other brand vehicles that are equal or better that Toyota, the big 3 just aren't any of them
