I will most likely be last. Still waiting on our slab to be poured and that could be a while.

    Settle down, Beavis.

Hey, so your sig says OME 881s and Billy 5100s. Are they already on, or is that part of the shipment and the only thing you can mod right now is your sig?

I'm gonna have to order some coils, and I want only enough lift to sit level with the back with the new leaf pack. Now that I realize how screwed my coils are, I do not want to use much, if any, of the Billie lift. I was thinking 880s (which are 1.25 to 1.5 lift), but why did you choose 881s (which are 1.75 to 2)? My understanding is that they are the same spring rate, just the 881s are a bit taller. Did Dan say these would level it with the 5-pack better? Am I full of questions? Or what?

I went with what the great people of TW have told me...OME 881's with Billies. With the shocks at 0 there will be a slight rake and at the mid setting level..but thats for my truck (no shell). You may be a bit different with the added weight on the rear.

WTF, I need to pour a slab to install these? Nobody told me that.

Actually, my driveway and garage are so narrow, I spent time positioning my truck to figure out if 1. I had enough room in the driveway to get both wheels off at the same time without moving the truck to do each side and 2. If I had enough room to close the garage door while the truck is up on stands if I get screwed in the middle of the job.

I do, but by about 1 ft on all sides. But man, what I would give for a 2-car garage.

My entire yard is dirt so it would not be fun, but still possible. It's bad enough doing oil changes in the dirt.

yes butt head, you have tons of questions.

I dont really know why I chose 881's....apparently i seen or read somewhere on here, and thats what persuaded me to choose those......

    lmao.

ok, I have the worlds shortest garage door...you have the narrowest! I actually went out and measured the distance between the top of the door and the roof of the truck before I ordered my stuff. Had to be sure I would still fit in after! When I drive in and out the antenna goes "thwang" as it brushes up against the door. And I can walk around the parked truck no problem...but I'm not installing at my place so no worries!

    no truck now :(
Mine haven't shipped yet, ran into a slight problem with my card.. (#$&*ing work screwed me with the training I'm on this week), so I have to wait until after Friday to get my order shipped.

And to add to another part of the conversation, the 881s give a certain amount of lift new, then they do settle.. how much depends on the truck you have.. especially concerning weight up front. I.e. a truck like mine (double cab, V6, with eventually (probably) something like an ARB plate bumper going up front w/ winch... ) will make those 881s sag bad heh. Stock truck.. it'll still settle out, probably drop 1/2" after a few months.

Dan first told me that the group buy wiped him out of 5 leaf packs and that we were waiting on them to arrive. They just arrived today. Today Dan told me that I was also waiting on bushings that he ran out of.

I got frustrated with the delay and lack of communication and canceled my order. I'll take my business elsewhere. Good luck to all who got their goodies.

alright, just got in from taking my pre-install measurements. if i did this right my front is about .75" lower than it should be and the rear is 1.5" lower. does this mean that i could expect my truck to be 3" to 3.5" taller (assuming the lift from new parts is 2")?

looks like Thursday is the day! planning on getting more "before" pics tomorrow...neighbors crowding the driveway right now...arrrrggghhh!

any other words of advise from those of you who have already done the swap? BTW - having the front end done at a tire shop so I'm only worried about the rear end. my friend does not have the compressor springs and i don't want anything (or anyone) getting hurt!

too bad - I've had no problems (;)) in the process. Of course I did have to call and pester Dan a few times about the front 5100's...didn't want to miss out on the last stock shipment he got in.

I'm sorry about your frustration and that it didn't work out for you. But thanks for doing your best to participate in the group buy.

Yes. Your leafs are just awful, and I can see that your truck has waht looks like negative rake. So yes, the lift numbers they provide are over stock, so youadd your sag to the lift numbers. Stunning, Isn't it?

I'm going to need a damn step ladder to get in my truck now!

Took a bunch of measurements, not just the 4 points recommended in the manual, so Ill have lots to compare to.

alright the million dollar question(s) of the evening...
Front 5100's at zero or middle setting? And how do you get that little steel ring moved up to the next groove? And did these get shipped set at zero?
    I'm a bit stressed right now if y'all couldn't tell:eek:
