The ones that I found when first looking were quite pricey. I also understand that my "must haves" weren't as numerous as the short beds.....at least not around here.

I'll just be happy to have it fixed and be able to put it up for sale. I even have a matching trailer that I had built out of a Comanche bed I'm gonna list with it. If I sell, I'll build a matching Tacoma bed trailer :D

Most of them are pricey, usually pricy enough to justify buying new for interest rate and warranty. What did you spend, if you don't mind me asking? How many miles and 4x4?

It's a 2013 with 75K for 22K. It is a 4x4. I'm the 2nd owner. For my area, this was the best deal I had seen at a dealership...........I should have quit looking b/c less than a week later, I found one with 10K less miles for 1K less

I also did the same with the Leer shell. I got mine for $700(which I thought was a good deal with sliding front window, windoors and locks), then found a white ARE for $500

That's not bad. Mines a '14 with 36k miles 4x4, lifted with 33x12.5 but a short bed. I would like to see $26,000.

What do you plan to get if/when you sell?
And if I'm perfectly honest, I like the way the SB's look better, but I just wanted the LB so I could sleep under the shell. I have a "build" in my head :D

Best bet is to quit looking once you buy. You most always be disappointed. I think you got a pretty good deal, especially from a dealer. That only means the person who traded it in was screwed.

That's a gorgeous Porsche. I love that they have stayed so true to what the 911 started out as. I understand that things have to change b/c of regulations/technology/etc, but they still have that "look" they've always had.

Thanks, it's a lot of fun. Haven't driven the truck much since I got it.

Just finished Ruby Ridge. Pretty interesting. I knew a lot of the story, but there was a lot more I didn't know.

Quite pleasant. Just got back from a mile and a half walk checking out my cooling towers. Usually I drive, but it felt like a nice night for a walk.

Got the drift boat off my fab table this morning. Been trying to find time to hoist that thing over for what seems like for weeks.

That thing is just cool as hell. When you sell it, are you gonna build another one?

You bet! Wife and I were talking about that just this afternoon. She asked if it could be a side gig for when I retire? Of course, I replied "most definitely"
