That's a sweet site - they didn't have a diagram for that part number, but it does narrow it down to which vins apply to it which is sweet :)

Either way I go it looks like it's gonna cost $15-20, through the local dealer or through online dealers that all seem to have $10 shipping  it seems like I should set up the bench vise I bought like 4 months ago and use the ol' hacksaw lol

I took my truck in for a smog check and it passed and that’s about all I did with it.

Lot of people run catless or gut their cats that live in non-emissions states, makes your truck smell and sound like a tractor though.

Haha, I know some guys here that do it too. Somewhat common with the performance auto crowd, to run cat-less between smog checks. They just throw it back on when they need to pass, or they 'know a guy'. Not saying I endorse the idea but it's more common than people think.

Btw if/when you need to get cats to pass smog, go with Magnaflows

Getting a squeal for the first few times I accelerate after starting the truck, I think from the ac. The belts seem fine, I replaced them last year. They ac pulley seems to be rotating with a slight wobble is that normal?

Toyota quoted me north of $2k for two new OEM cats. 2 CA compliant Magnaflows were $600 installed.

However OEM cats are far superior in quality than any aftermarket ones but they are stupid expensive

No wonder they're always getting stolen.

I had a buddy with a 2004 Double Cab and lived in Stockton, CA - AKA the armpit of Northern California. He had his catalytic converter stolen three times during the time he lived there.

People would take battery powered Sawzalls and strike when no one is around. They target trucks because they're high off the ground and an easy target.

Installed new extended Icons & Icon UCAs as well as new inner fender seals today. Everything went smooth except I had to modify one of the dies for the ball joint remover to clear the spindle arm.

My 12 year old standard travel Donahoes were shot. Been leaking for months and started riding like shit. I suspected my upper ball joints were shot too. Sure enough, the driver side ball joint was loose as f*ck.

Both mine have held up well, my icons have been flawless. Spindles can be gusseted for extra tough use I guess but I've had no troubles, I wouldn't say it's a prerequisite for use of the truck.

No I don't. I don't get out much anymore, just fire roads & Pismo. My DRs lasted me 12 years with stock UCAs. Haven't been out to the desert in years. When the Icons fail, I'll just slap the rebuilt DRs back in & keep rotating when needed. Planning to buy a 4Runner in the next year or 2 as well, still keeping the tacoma though.
