It sucks that i cant really shoot the rifle anymore. The ammo is expensive and rare

The gun is a marlin co 25-20 repeater and shoots a Winchester 25-20 which is a round they no longer make. I found one little old west gun shop that every once and awhile has it and it’s always like 60$* for 50 rounds

Sounds like a sweet gun (never heard of it before but I looked it up real quick). Not a whole lot of info on it for reloading but I’ll see what I can muster up. Save all your shell casings when you do shoot it and you might be able to get them reloaded. Have you tried gunbroker.com and places like that for ammo? There’s a special place in my heart for 25 cals

They sell a kit to make the rounds out of leaf. And the dies for reloading. Just never invested in a reloader. I have all my old casings though. I should probably get a reloader seeing how i have a few hounded .308 cassings at home lol

It will save you a ton of money in the long run. Not to mention it is a blast (no pun intended) to do and very relaxing. My latest project has been my 7-30 waters in the single shot contender. Left is factory and right is my reloads CA865147-B283-4AC8-88E9-FEA48F30BCFD.jpg

Looking back through my pictures I actually found a pretty sweet one from the day I proposed to my fiancé. She finally got her first buck. She’s using my grandpas knife to notch the tag.

It was a pretty good weekend for the two of us. Nothing like a couple of blacktails.

I bet it’s like a havalon or outdoor edge or something. Those blades are super nice, also nice that they’re replaceable. The only thing I don’t like about them is cleaning...

They’re super nice for the things that don’t require blade strength, like opening dog food and when the blade does break it isn’t a big deal. Another plus is it doesn’t hurt when you cut yourself, but you can bet the cut will probably be balls deep.
