Depends on the rack you buy and how it mounts! Prinsu uses aluminum washers. which is needed to raise it up high enough out of the channel. Most use RTV silicon when installing to make it water tight but also give you a barrier for the metal washer to sit on.

Well...all these years escaping and the hail finally got us. All four trucks got damage. :pout:We had golf ball size at our house. Very unusual as I’ve never seen hail hit during the night. Was about 12:30am and woke up to all hell breaking loose. Dad ran out with a pillow on his head to attempt to move my truck partially under a tree.

I can’t complain too much as we faired pretty ok compared to a few minutes south of us where they got baseball sized hail. Still pretty upset about the dings on all of them....

Race truck was partially in the car port and it was the only one to get a smashed windshield. It got hit by one so hard it cracked on the back side of the glass. Blue Taco and Tundra will probably be repaired. Race truck and crawler I’ll be searching the junkyard for replacement hood and fenders.

I have a buddy down in the springs who's dealing with temporary tarping his roof after it got holes blasted in it from softball sized hail.

Dodged a bullet (baseball in this case) on this one. Live down off of Fontaine and Marksheffel.

Have some minor dings in the Tacoma and bed cover from this morning... but nothing broken (thankfully).

I saw the destruction from Fountain. Holy SH*T!
