I’m sorry if you have answered this before but why is your truck designated “Rescue Truck?”

I don't need to sit down and talk with you cuz I'm sure after half a beer I'd be tired of listening to you complain. You act like you're the only person who has friends who are vets... I talk to mine regularly and not one of them complains as much as you do. Each one of them has managed to come back and transition into civ life just fine, some took longer than others and thats ok because they had friends who supported them through it. They all work, and not in LEO or PMC jobs but real careers because they took advantage of the resources they earned through their service to make themselves better.

Thats the last im saying on the subject.

The purpose I chose to put all my time and effort into was to build a truck that would go anywhere and everywhere as fast as possible whenever needed to assist any active or veterans in need.

Sometimes it’s a rescue from a long day at work, a fight with the wife or parents, sometimes it’s a rescue from themselves or their demons.

I not only work with them at the drop of a hat but try to do preventive stuff like taking them out camping for the weekend or taking them out on a trail to just give them something fun or relaxing to do.

Mostly we spend a lot of time in Daniel Boone national park or red river gorge in Kentucky but I have plans to take a group of 3 from Nashville to Moab in the fall

I also take the truck to cars and coffee events and try to educate people on the stuff some of the combat vets coming home deal with and the epidemic of losing 22 veterans to suicide a day

I am beyond happy to hear your buddies transitioned back so well.
    A lot don’t
Aside from some chronic pain BS and damage to some joints and bones I’m just fine.
But I know and work with a lot of dudes who need the help.

Thanks for your opinion on the matter man, sorry we don’t see eye to eye

I had the TC SUA "mid travel" rear. After I get a chance to hit some dirt Im thinking about doing a basic write up of the two in case other guys find themselves in confusion of which to get.

So thanks for all the comments on my install...figured out last night the bonehead move which @Hawk373 and @snowsk8air2 helped me figure out. Damn shop installed my spring perches backwards so the fill plates face the front which eliminates the opportunity to weld the shock tabs on the axle without trimming the tabs to weld on the perches and so they went outboard as folks noticed right away. Tim recommended to just move the tabs on the fill plates and no issue...Anyway if it wasn't for this thread I would have another bullshit midtravel set up haha.

Regardless, this kit is freaking unreal compared to the HD TC kit I had before. I hope I never ride in a linked truck as that might ruin me forever, but yea rant over.

Agreed on this...I work in Washington DC and our company had an issue letting a guy go cause he was on disability due to a genetic issue. For a while he was in the system as an alternate worker if he signed paperwork to come back and only recently have they completely washed the system of him. Quite a bit of finesse was taken to secure his exit so that I am told.

Not true. Most off the shelf links will not work on a dcsb unless you want to put the c/o’s in the cab. Look at how far back the shock pocket is on the links in the picture above. Now look at how forward it is on the Camburg links. Sure you could cut down the end of the link that bolts to the axle but it’ll end up being far shorter than what’s ideal for a dcsb.

uh no you’re wrong amigo. The shock location on most pre fab generic links will not work on a short bed. There is a lot more to link length and shock location than you realize.

Sorry, was more of a rant to caboose to find a shop that knows what they're doing instead of asking us for exact specifications for building a truck. Wasn't trying to state a fact in saying anything will work and be good.

Technically speaking, you can use whatever link length you want on a shortbed, unless you want the wheelbase to stay the same :D

Oh and to the guy who is "building" his truck. Since it seems like you want nice parts and something that works good. Don't be scared and put the shocks in the cab. The dcsb trucks can't touch the longer bed trucks when linked because the shocks are so far back on the links. That being said when I get a flat next mine will be mounted right behin the back seat.

I didn't remove to much when I built it. Just enough to tuck the cage. So far zero issues
