    Current update on mine, I am still having an issue of reaching more than 5 psi, with a 7psi spring. Even when boost sourced from the manifold.

    I have two last things to try, prior to reconfiguring for an external wastegate setup.

    My new work table is roughly 70% fabricated. Just needs some underside reinforcement supports.

    Something positive will happen soon. I know it.

    Yes, and no lol Nobody wants it so I think im officially gonna keep it.. the TS bov was because the plastic stock BOV cover cracked in LCE's posession, so they sent me an upgrade.

    I see. I was tempted by your sale thread, but I'm still working on getting my LT suspension setup done. I also would want the smaller 0.92 AR turbine, and don't want to be stuck with a housing I have no use for.

    Just some engineer guy. What do you know? ;)

    Your method worked. Holds boost and doesn't spike. Just need to fiddle with the preload a little. If that can't get it, then :sawzall::welder:

    Or completely restart from scratch and go twins. :blahblah:

    The dark nature of the weld puddle. I too had the same puddles. Realized through a few videos from The Fabrication Series, and Welding Tips and Trick, on YouTube, that my gas coverage was too insufficient. Separately, my technique also needed improvement, but that is my own, and not yours.

    Your CFH is spot on. Now, heat affected zone aside, with a #8 cup, you have to stay very close to the puddle. Very steady hand, so that the gas coverage keeps out the elements. With a larger cup, it is much more forgiving and much easier to have a "white" puddle after a weld. "White" being considered the best.

    Just a polite criticism. If you have a larger ceramic cup, try it. You'll see an immediate difference. For the record, I use a #12 cup when welding the stainless. My welds aren't 'Weldporn' uniform, but they have improved to very little color.

    Also take note of the H.A.Z.(Heat Affected Zone, around the weld) on my weld, compared to yours. This was done at 74 amps, 16 gauge 304, but most importantly, moving quickly. Doing 5 - 10 dabs at a time.
