Haha, we're maybe taking a trip up that way this weekend to scope out some camp sites and will probably hit a couple of breweries while we're at it. Or I will at least, wife doesn't drink beer.

Being forced in to going to lake havasu this weekend. Have absolutely zero desire to go. It’s going to be hot and miserable. :bananadead:

Last year they had the mountain bike race there and there was a guy on the run from the cops who stole someone’s bike. It was all over the news. Crazy stuff

Usually use Lake Powhatan as our base campground when we go riding/drinking in AVL. Not dispersed camping, but they have showers and shitters!

Yes. I told my pops this is the last time I will ever be going. I hate going out there. 6 hour drive each way. Do nothing but sit in dry heat all day Saturday. Miserable. And I’m missing great surf this weekend.

Never been to that one before. Last year we camped at Lake Junaluska, but it was a bit of a drive back to Asheville. We're also looking into Ash Grove since it's only 20 mins through Dupont to REEB.

I'll have to check out this Ash Grove. We ride dupont and I don't have a close place to stay!
