I love tool rolls, they're really the best way to carry things around if you're not carrying a full box.

The doors feel quite heavier with just 4.5 sqft. Im sure it will help to some degree

You know what, the inside if my door was quite clean and free of any signs of moisture. Im guessing the seals actually prevent any real water from coming in contact with metal. It would slide and stay on the glass

As I understand it helps with sound from the speakers, but the majority of noise comes from the the other areas.

It's basically foam baffling that amplifies the sound towards the cab instead of echoing in the hollow door panel. I think Amazon sells it. There's other alternatives I'm sure.

I understand the concept Bud it's the application that concerns me. I just see insulating the door skin as being problematic as far as trapping moisture and wonder if it would create more problems than it solved.

I'm with you completely. This wouldn't be any bigger than the speaker. It sticks to the back of it. There's also 3 pieces so it goes between the panel and the bracket to eliminate any rattling that will come from deeper bass from upgraded speakers.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
I've read what I could, watched the videos, and thought about this quite a bit...

You won't find much talk of rust, because it takes so long to rear its ugly head.

I can certainly see the value in applying some of this material to the door skins. The door skins are just large areas of sheet metal that are free to vibrate. Probably don't need to cover the entire area, just a couple of wide strips should be enough to damp down the vibrations. When I get around to doing this, I will also cut the tops of these strips at an angle so that any water that accumulates will run down rather than sit on top for some period of time. I will also try to get a good seal between the material and the door panel, so water doesn't get trapped behind. As an added safety measure, I will most likely spray everything with a thin coat of Fluid Film* afterwards.

    * - If you're going to use Fluid Film in the doors, use it sparingly or it will eventually run down and out the drain holes and come in contact with your weatherstripping. FF makes the weatherstripping rubber swell to the point of no longer fitting in the channel, which means your weatherstripping will need to be replaced.

NOTE: I have not yet tried Fluid Film on the Noico material, which is butyl (rubber). Probably okay, but still need to test.

Abosultely. Instructions state to clean with decgreaser and make sure it is dry before applications. Also remove ait pockets with roller. All those step should actually help with keeping water and moisture away from contact with metal

Cutting the strips at an angle to help any water to run off as suggested by @Ruminator is a heads up move. Something I probably would have thought of "after" I had already installed the material.

    A few minor things...
Kicker upgrade was a great improvement. I'm putting in my sound deadening next week.

To get the speakers full potential you'll need an amp, but that's up to you. And maybe even a dsp if you really want to get into it.

The reason I am asking about your cell phones is, you can check out a application like this, which is what I use:

    http://powerampapp.com/

This turns the stock audio into a an actual decent sounding system. You can download this or something like it for free, see how you like it, and if you feel you need to go to the next level then take the plunge. You will be surprised how well this simple app works. I promise.

    Hi Rob,
Still using a Samsung S4. I'm not a big time phone junkie and since it works just fine for me I'm not looking to spend big bucks to upgrade. If I were to buy one I would end up having to buy one for my better half as well.
I'd buy a new rear bumper waaaay before a phone upgrade.
Now if the phone shits the bed then that's a different matter. Phone just needs to be wiped clean to get rid of some of the clutter that I no longer use or don't really need.
Why do you ask? And stop laughing, I had my flip phone for more than 15 years. When it comes to buying new phones I'm frugal. I'll squeeze the Buffalo on a nickle until it shits!

    Bob,
Perfect, that app I posted the link to can be found for free in Android Play Store. Go to that and search for Power Amp, then just download it. I paid the $2.99 for the pro version to eliminate the adds but for free you can check it out. Put the app on your wifes phone for free too.

There is a EQ as well as a host of other features. If you have a stock, non JBL stereo in the Taco you need this app!
