Have you done bloody basin to sheeps bridge yet? It's pretty flat but there's some cool shit to see and you end on the water at the Verde River. I'd be down to meet out there one day, I've got a little bit of free time between now and the 28th.

No those are not overlapping. See how this bypass the 2nd compression tube doesnt start until the 1st bypass tube ends

But this one both bypass tubes overlap so both are in use at the same time

You can order Kings to overlap but Fox come overlapping as the normal setup. The rebound and compression will always overlap but they mean having two or more of either compression or rebound overlap each other

Both of those king pictures are staggered pattern not overlap. The overlap lets you run more compression for a better bump zone and it have be so stiff at ride height. It really really helps on the links of a dcsb truck because of the shitty motion ratio. Hell it helps on normal links too. Looks at all the TTs and you will notice almost all of them run overlapping tubes. Also another issue I have found is on the king 3.0 prerunner series they don't put a big enough port for the resi so that makes for some harshness too. I'm a king guy too so don't take it as a king bashing. Just trying to help people learn from my mistakes so they can make there truck work better from the start

Ohhhhh I see now. Because why put in the proper valving when you can just have wayyy more fluid bypassing the piston? #double20stackalldaylong

Not exactly. The overlap gives you better progression. Both still need the proper valving. Example you can make both ride the same thru small whoops quality wise but the overlap will be able to take a bigger hit because it will have more valving in the bump zone.

That's 100% not true.....one reason to have overlapping tubes even if your calving is correct is the small chatter bumps at ride height.....you can have a super plush soft mid range then it ramp to a mean bumpzone for the whoops.... and you can't really do that with valving. The tubes allow for position sensitivity. Not just hard or soft. That's really the valvings job. And adjusting the shims is where you can change how hard or soft it is in relation to the shock shaft speed.

It does help. Still new to the function of shocks and understanding valving. So I appreciate the info.
