Interested in the new Remington 870 DM. Anyone have one yet? I'm curious if the bolt locks open on an empty magazine. Not a deal breaker either way, just wanted to know.

    Don't have one so I don't know ,
But can't see how they would have engineered that (meaning the 870 bolt doesn't lend well to any hold open function , take a look at a pic of one ), and you wouldn't want it .. would interfere when you run the gun dry and need to drop shells straight into chamber to keep shooting .
I'll place my bets on no it does not .

In the odd chance it does I wouldn't touch it

The bolt isn't the same as the regular 870. I could see it being easy to engineer an interlock between the bottom of the bolt and the follower of the magazine. Again, not saying I want that feature, just curious if it was designed that way. I agree that needing the ability to combat load a round into an empty ejection port is important.

What's different about the bolt ? I'd be curious to see .
I'd also be surprised that Remington build it any different than the regular 870s .
Folks like black aces tactical (where Remington likely lifted this idea ) have been converting 870s and 500s like this for some time using factory bolts

Edit : after some searching I read that the bolt indeed is specific to the DM gun

I think there are two new ones on the market this year. Remington and Mossberg. I've only handled the Mossy. I call it the "Ram Rebel" of shottys because it's so ridiculously overwrought.

Also- This is probably the best advice I ever received as a young person. Kept me out of a HEAP of trouble as a teen-young adult.

Hi all, I am looking for a owb holster and or paddle for a Glock 19. It needs to accommodate the gun with X300U Surefire light. Even better if it could take the surefire or the Streamlight TLR-1 HL. Non leather. Thanks in advance.

posted this in the Glock thread, but thought I would also drop it here.

Wow - you guys are that quick with holster recommendations? How about an IWB tuckable for a Ruger LC9s?

Don't think I ever posted my HD shotgun. Call her "meat and greet" hahaha!

Mossberg 930 security with extended mag tube, flashlight mount, QD mount, and modified to eat any shells I feed to her vs really hot stuff.

Don't know if anyone has seen this yet but if anyone is looking to get a suppressor SilencerCo
is having a sweet promotion going on now. I think it just started today. I have been thinking
of getting their Maxim 9 integrally suppressed pistol for some time now. Seems it is on sale too
and if you spend more than 700 - 800 you can get a free suppressor.

    https://silencerco.com/summer-kickoff-promotion/

The maxim 9 is on sale at a site outside SilencerCo for quite a bit less than on
their website so if you have an LGS that will price match, good deal

Correct me if I am wrong.......

Has anyone had issues with .22lr constant misfeeds? I bought a G36 from Walther (can't afford the SL8 conversions...) and had a tonne of rounds not entering the barrel fully and a good portion of them wouldn't pull out. Brand new gun: broken down and cleaned/oiled before shooting, used Remington Thunderbolt. Had some Federal as well, same problems but not a frequent. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thunderbolt is some of the dirtiest ammo I’ve used. I try and stick to Federal or CCI.
