What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

Been sitting in it, pretty much all day for the past 3. I may be dying at this point. Not sure yet. However my trust in these trucks is further cemented forever.

 

Soon as the bumper is dry I put it back together today...

 

Didn't build ammo can but I did build an HF Pelican case...also have ICOM 7000 in truck

 

I know they aren't Brembo's, but since I was treating rust on frame I figured I might as well make Brakes look good too

I'm liking the TruTrac on a couple of test on some dirt roads. I can't really give it all right now still in the first 500mile brake-in. But I'll get a 4wheeling session in at the end of this month and try to report back.
I can say 100% I like my choice of 4.10s, it was a toss up of 4.10 or 4.30s. 4.10s keep the Gas mileage pretty good with the 33s. 4.30's I'd be burning gas on the highway like crazy.

 

Probably an embedded operating system or possibly even something Linux based for security's sake.

 

2014 googled overlanding Australia he came up. Booked a 2 week trip with exploring western Australia that was his main business at the time, you tube was a added bonus. Wish I got to drive the cruiser only got to drive a Hylux acouple of times. He is not that great of a cook but he does have some great recipes. I had to go just kicked the wife out of the house. Needed to to rethink life.

 

Thought we had 4.11 at least that is what my ratios are.

 

Funny. I was just coming up with this same concept in my head over lunch.

 

Did you have to take the whole bumper off to do that? Looks awesome!

 

Not exactly professional but it got the job done. Taped off all the plastic and took off the license plate and lights.This is just temporary until I can afford a aftermarket bumper.(couldn’t take the Crome anymore)

 

One of the absolute worst parts of the TRD Offroad is the shit-tier chrome trim. Yuck.

 

Dang thats incredible man! I would love to go the australia and do something like that.
