So, for those who live... Not in the city, know that 4G LTE service is kinda spotty sometimes, especially indoors.

I have Verizon, and am pretty happy with them overall. I was looking at the extender they offer, but my internet speed is too slow (6mbs). The minimum required is 10mbs, and 20mbs recommend.

I see lots of signal boosters on Google, but honestly, I don't know enough about them to make a decision.

Anyone on here ever deal with a signal booster?

I'd like to keep this primarily about signal boosters (or was to increase cell phone reception indoors) and less about liking or disliking Verizon or any other providers.

I bought one of these for my shop: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00RHMFQSA/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_apa_i_Y2iiBbQ4FRCP4

About 2 weeks later AT&T added WiFi calling and I never got around to installing it, so no clue how well it works. If you'd be interested in it I'll let it go for half off new price, just opened the box, way too late to return, and haven't had any luck trying to sell it because its such a specialized thing few people need

Thanks for the offer. However, at this point, I'd rather not spend money before I know for sure what will and won't work.

When you write "Version", do you mean Verizon? It's a good idea to explain the purpose of your post. Do you want a better data signal or voice signal? At my house we don't have any choice of wired broadband services, no fiber optic, cable, or DSL, so it's either satellite or (super slow) cell broadband for us. If you have Verizon, voice and data are carried on two different radio bands, so a booster for voice would not work all that well for data, and vice versa. If you want a better voice connection, I would look into apps that have VOIP capabilities (like Duo or Hangouts) so you make and receive phone calls over your landline-based internet signal (6mbps is more than enough). If you want a data signal faster than your regular cable based internet you're basically out of luck. Boost the 4G signal may or may not increase internet speeds, based on how overloaded the tower is. On my system, between 5 pm and 2 am mean DL speeds of less than 0.2 Mbps. After 2 am until 5 pm is 0.5-3.0 Mbps, and that's about 500 feet from the tower. Verizon Wireless really sucks when it comes to rural areas, there's no profit in expanding to those areas. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the insight. I definitely meant Verizon... I use "talk to text" on my phone and missed that in my double check.

The trouble I'm having is group, and picture messages take forever to download, or just don't download. A lot of times, when the group message fails to download, it will download later, but all the text are mixed up. I gather that pictures and group messages all come across data (what I assume is 4g) and normal text, and calling comes across the 1x?

I don't really know much about how cell phones work, so please bare with me on terminology...

Generally, I have 1-3 bars of 4g outside my house. I was hoping there was a way to bring that signal inside.
