I lifted my truck 6" and running 285's. I went from 21MPG to 15MPG. Is this pretty normal? I've read somewhere that you can modify your computer to change the tire setup to possibly help. is that true?

12.8. changing computer won’t help with mpg, it’s rather just display a more accurate reading.

right now you’re just reading a bit lower than actually getting.

Hypertech sells an inline speedo corrector that you can get, but AFAIK the computer can't be changed directly.

I get about 15/21 on my 255s, aka pretty much what I got before.

    Too few to list.
    I had 285's, 13-14 seems about right.

Not to worry. Just the price of cool.

But your speedo, odo and display are all wrong. Calculate by hand and factor in the circumfrance delta.

And recalculate when your oil chages will be too. Along with other mileage based service intervals.

I just knew less than half the people in here would be correcting for that.

14-15L/100km city when accounting for difference in tire size etc.
calculated by fuel put in and distance traveled with bigger tire.

Im on a NitroCharger kit, stock gears, 450 lbs added, P285/70r17 and get about 18.5-19 tank average with the 7% increase factored in. Computer says about 17.8-18 usually at the end of a tank

I have a 6" lift and 295's. Dash states 15-16mpg with a best of 17.2. Now have just shy of 2k miles on my 2018. Mileage I can deal with. Not being able to use cruise control because the truck insists on staying in 4th gear on the interstate (Flat Florida) is my complaint with my setup.
