It's that sort of incident that sits in the back of my mind and makes me want to install a kill switch.

Unless I missed something, as I did just browse the article, I was pretty close. It's all sports car engines. They're different than the Yukon and truck engines. But people will snag an engine out of a truck and claim they did an LS swap. There's a difference between a truck 6.0 and an LS2

EDIT: Retracted. Apparently the truck engines are LSs too. But I have been told that the sports car LSs have more aggressive cams and other valvetrain components that make them output much more.

"General Motors called it the Gen III small-block V8 and a year later (the 1998 model year), the LS1 replaced the LT1 small-block in Camaros and Firebirds, which was followed by the iron-block version of the Gen III V8 appearing in the full size trucks and SUVs."

Additionally, I guess I have learned that unless I see something else that catches my eye, I'm thinking about putting a LSX 5.3 in the jeep. They're super narrow and I think it would fit nicely under the hood

I thought Tahoe had LS engine, but I could be wrong. He pulled the engine and transmission out of Chevy Tahoe. Corvette engine makes lot more HP and torque, but his jeep is very light. He can still roast those 35's. Plus, he got the doner vehicle for only 2 or 3 grand. Another big factor in going with Tahoe was CARB legal shiet. DMV wants the exhaust to be in the same position and manner as the original vehicle. Plus, he had help of couple of other guys who did the same swap before him and help with was readily available.

    ...too much shit to list.
Since we're on the winch topic I figured I'd share what I did when I bought my new WARN (and so did Nick).

Filled out a sponsorship request form on WARNs website (https://www.warn.com/corporate/sponsorship.jsp) with as much detail as I could think of as to why I'm a fuck ugly degenerate DBB but my truck is kinda "alright." Sponsorship was naturally denied but WARN offered a one-time FAT ASS discount for a single winch of my choosing. I ended up with a WARN ZEON 12-S for $700 shipped to my door.

DAMM! I am going to try this! Thanks man!

EDIT: DONE! Put in the request. Waiting for denial and hopefully a discount code/coupon. If I get similar discount like @jberry813 I will be going with 12-s (may be platinum). :fingerscrossed:

Not sure yet what im going to do about the winch. Debating on keeping it portable, or build it into the front or rear bumper.
Lots of thoughts but havnt focused on it yet.
Still trying to get the front end dailed.

Dude it sucked. Your average joe can read twice as fast as the guy in the video takes to read it and you can’t forward to the next page till he’s done. They throw a lot of interactive shit in to make sure your paying attention. If no response for 8 min. It would time out. Meanwhile it’s all being recorded so my office can see my activity.
