I like vintage Seiko's. My two favorites are my 6217-8001 and 6105-8110. I have owned the 6105 since new in 1977. My newest Seiko is a pilot style watch that I have grown to really like also.

    My guess is the month

EDIT: Although to my knowledge "IIII" isnt a proper Roman numeral. I think it would be "IV" for 4.

On clocks, 4 is often represented by IIII rather than IV.....for esthetics or legibility (or both).

I think The Roman numeral by the date on that Seiko represents the day of the week.

    Hello TacomaWorld watch enthusiast!

This Friday I'll be wearing my Junkers (pronounced "Yonkers") 6434-2 Titanium watch.

Junkers is not a highly know watch maker/brand but has been around for sometime now. Their timepieces are something else though.

    https://www.junkers.watch/

I purchased this Junkers particular style back in the turn of this new 21st Century (1999-2000).

I definitely like it a lot and then decided to add the custom made buckle to the crocodile/alligator strap that it originally came with.

Did a quick search on this particular model Junkers watch and this is what I found:

Last...I would just like to say..."HAPPY FATHERS DAY" to all the DAD's out there and be safe and enjoy the weekend with your kids. Keep in mind that we have all been so blessed with one of our creators greatest gifts of all!

    God Bless!

That is correct. I also have Seikos with Chinese & Japanese for the day for the secondary language. They still have English also.

In Chinese days of the week are named with numbers also, Monday being day 1, read "week, 1" but Sunday is not day 7, it just "day", shows the Chinese character for day. For Roman numerals Sunday is a red square. I'm used to the Chinese so naturally Roman is for me too.

Japanese although based on the Chinese language is different. Their days are based on the Sun, planets, & mythical gods like English.
