Ya i think its worth it to do both. Road noise through the doirs has been quite minimalized. The windows still let alot of noise through but i can definately tell the difference. The more sections you add, the better it gets. I will be doing back wall as well as openings in doors so as to make the bass, low frequencies better, which has already substantially improved

Ya thnx for the insight. Took it out for a testdrive and i can already notice reduced road noise through the door but also the base is louder, thumping a bit more. Im going to add more to make it a sealed enclosure and hopefully the base will be decent

I added some Rod Holders under my Brute Force Bed Rack. It was late so I just tossed some old rods in them and snapped some pics. Seems like it works pretty well. With the tent on top the will be pretty secure.

I run super loud essential from the App Store. When I purchased it, it was on sale for 5.99. It’s pretty decent. I like that when opening the app, it takes over my iTunes library. I’m very happy with the upgraded sound quality it delivers

So my experience with installing the Noico....
The door panels, etc, the metal is pretty clean to begin with. The black sticky stuff on the Noico will stick to anything if you apply a little pressure. I covered the large, black, plastic baffles on the doors and the Noico stuff sticks like a dang leach!
I did use rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth to wipe the metal parts and plastic baffles of the door and backwall. Reality, can’t say you have to do that for what I previously mentioned the metal already being clean. Plastic baffles were clean too. I ran my fingers over both before wiping with alcohol, no dirt or oily residue of any kind that I could feel.
The Noico material black sticky stuff with aluminum backing, water wouldn’t affect it. No doubt it would be a water barrier if anything.
I installed the Noico film inside my garage which the floor is painted with epoxy. I put on some cheap can throw away socks and no shoes since if you get any small pieces of the Noico on your feet, think shoes, it’s a PITA to get off. Easier to trash the socks.

    Roller vs no roller.
You can use your fingers to press/rub the material on the doors. But that’s a lot of pressing and rubbing etc to smooth out the Noico versus rolling. After doing the backwall my fingers smarted some...just from the pressing, rubbing and even using the roller for the larger areas.
I did use the metal roller versus wood or plastic because it is a little heavier.
Some places you can’t get the roller to, then you use your fingers.
Because I had a lot of ‘seams’ where the Noico lays up against or slightly overlaps each other the roller was much easier to use to ‘seam’, flatten, seal etc those areas. And there are tons of those since a lot of piecing the Noico together happens when applying to the backwall area and doors.
And all the edges of the Noico, like where it ends, especially around the speakers, way easier to roll versus rubbing out with fingers.
So, for $10 the Noico metal roller was way worth it for me.

As I have mentioned before, with the sound deadening applied, just the speaker/music/sound enhancement alone, makes it worth it for me. Music, especially bass, clean bass at that, is way enhanced!
    Pics I posted before.

    A few minor things...
There are a bunch of really good posts on the forum that show step-by-step instructions on how to swap speakers. Amps are a bit more tricky, but if you're a bit savvy at wiring you can figure it out. If not, take it to a pro.

The speakers are literally just one plug you can't put in backwards and if you get the new speakers on Crutchfield they will supply you with a wiring harness for each speaker that you can't mess up. Very simple and very easy once you get the door panels off (which feels like you might break the back ones).

    Lee,
I don't have any experience with iPhones or iOS so I would check out the app @JD'STaco suggested. Since there is a minimal fee for it, that should eliminate any add popups.

Like what you did, even put the plastic back on afterwards, which i think is unneccesary after adding noico to the baffle areas. My only concern us what happens when you need to access this cavity in the future? Otherwise, this really enhanced the bass in a surprising way. Also reduced road noise, but only through the doors. Windows are still quite noisy, so while you cant really do anything about that, there is quite a noticable diffetence

My sliders showed up late because they got their tags mixed up and tried to deliver them to the 23rd floor of a hospital! I'm glad the hospital didn't accept them.

Do the mirror caps too. Here's a video showing how to remove them. Some guys will place a plastic grocery bag over the mirror to keep the covers from flying off and hitting the ground or the truck.
