    In my situation, the truck was sitting on the frame (hence the decision to pull it out backwards instead of forwards). You can kind of see in the pictures, but every time we made a little headway, if I tried to pull the truck out under its own power it would just bury itself again. We could get so far, then we would have to disconnect and move to another tree and start over. I think we also stretch that steel cable quite a bit in the process.

    With the above being said I would venture to say that a traction pad would have had the truck free in a matter of minutes. If I didn't already have my eBay traction boards I'd probably consider GoTreads. Not as flashy or sexy as Maxtrax, but significantly cheaper with a design that has been proven for over 40 years.

    Well thank you for the praise buddy. I remember using the hi lift back up in the A pit in the good ol days of being a stock prerunner. Also I have my allpro strap from the fall citrus meet we can throw in someones truck judt to have an extra if necessary

    Well, looking at the weather in Ridge Manor this Saturday...We might not have to bring our rain gear (30%), but we are definitely gonna :bananadead::bananadead::bananadead:

    So, 9am tomorrow? I'm planning to leave for my campsite at about 5pm (I might be able to slide out earlier). I'm not sure what to expect signal wise, so I'll just plan on meeting everyone at the check station tomorrow morning.

    Bad news though, of a sort. Spencer says he can't make it with his truck. Has a toasted front wheel bearing. Said he'd ride along with someone though to still be the trail guide.

    Looking at the list, this leaves @NABeast and @GuyHuey as our big tire trucks with @LMarshall73 as probably our heaviest rig. I think we're going to have to do some planning at to the planing of our order. Paul, you wanna let Spencer ride with you and you be the lead truck? It'd be handy if you had a winch, but if we put @LMarshall73 behind you, he has a winch and besides me, you have the best chance of yanking him out if necessary. That might make it best if I ride 3rd, in case we have to pull him from the rear.

    As far as the next three, I'm not sure about. I know @Key-Rei has the experience (and a snorkle, haha). So we might want to put him between @pinellastacoma08 and @azninferno with @GuyHuey bringing up the rear since he's our other big tire truck and also has a winch and is locked front and rear.

    I should also add this...everyone wear shoes you don't care about getting wet or can slip off real fast in case we have to wade into the water to hook up a strap or winch cable. :D

    Got the truck preloaded. Had to put my strap back in it which I never got around to cleaning it from Citrus. Thought the rain might wash it off but no joy there. At least I don't have to unroll it if we need it, haha. Got my spare tire in and the two 5 gallon jugs of water in case of radiator leaks. Just gotta go to the store later for soda and Gatorade.

    Well, if you end up winning the fist fight and you ride with me, at least I have the floor mat down so you shouldn't get hot foot from bare feet on the metal floor right over the cat like my buddies used to do in my YJ when we would go to the beach or something. Of course, I'm also lacking the Flowmaster that made the cat run hotter than normal like my YJ had.
