Yea, only Its mostly just what angle you are at with the sunlight. If you move a little they match.

I think that's true for virtually any car ever made. I don't have MGM, but silver, white, grey, etc. all do the same.

Yep. Look close enough and most paint looks different from one panel to the next. Especially metal flake paint. I changed the photos with different lighting and it looks better. Just made me look and OCD got to me. Lol

Anyone running JBA UCA’s on their MGM? I am curious how they look and can’t find any thing in the suspension threads. I really want to get them but I am unsure because they are red. I really wish they also came in black.

Happy to post my truck w/ almost all original projects completed for the first time.

The best mod I’ve done so far is adding the 275/70/17 ST Maxx tires and SEMA wheels. It’s really smoothed out the jerky transmission and gas pedal combo that’s been bothering me. No cutting, no cmc, no rub after alignment. Highly recommend 275/70/17.

Thats awesome. Truck looks great man!
I wonder why 275's aren't that common. It seems like people either go big (285's and above) or stay at stock/265's. I feel like 275's are a great compromise since you fill the wheel well a bit more but avoid cmc/alignment issues etc...
Any idea why? are there not many choices in 275 size or whats up?

For me? It was the C rating vs the E rating.

I think you nailed it. It’s a bit of monkey see monkey do (285’s and higher) or keeping it at that stock width but increasing size (265).

The only tires I was looking at in this size were the ST MAXX and KO2’s. Didn’t seem like a lot of other brands came in this size. I can say the ST Maxx passes the eye test far better than I anticipated, and is extremely quiet. Thanks for the shout!

I’m lookkng at these ST Maxx in that same size. I have the same rims which provide some offset and I’ve heard ko2 will fit in 275/70/17 so I curious how close it is for the coopers. You have stock suspension and no rubbing at all? Are your air damn and flaps still attached?

    Hey buddy happy to help.

The st maxx’s In that size won’t fit with the factory mudflaps. I took them off right before mounting and balancing. Each flap was three screws, no big deal.

My air damn isn’t still attached.

Yes I have stock TRDOR suspension.

Once you put these on my biggest piece of advice is getting a GOOD alignment. These ST Maxx tires tend to run to the right due to tread pattern, and it took 2 technicians and 1 “master alignment tech” to finally get mine dialed in. I would take it to an well regarded off-road shop and ask or research whoever is the highest rated near you. I have no rub after the alignment, been up and down driveways and all that so far, still been just a few days.

    Hope that helps.

That does help, thank you! Can’t decide btw the 275/70 or the 265/70. If you could do it again would you stay with the 275?

I have had more looks, likes, compliments, “hey dude sick truck!”, and whatever else you can think of in the last 4 days than in the entire first year of owning it. With no rub? I’m picking these every single time.

    Last thing:

Make sure you get black lug nuts if you want to keep the all black look. If you don’t care, stock lugs that are on your OEM wheels work for these rims, as that’s what I have on my car currently. I’ll be getting black lug nuts soon. I’ve heard pro comp and gorilla nuts are two manufacturers that are easy to get ahold of.

Close up pic. Stoked for you!!!!

From what I've read, most people recommend Gorilla.
