I just ordered your mounting bracket and I'm wondering if the wiring that comes with the ARB twin is going to reach to the bed. I had already ordered the ARB before I knew about you guys.

It won't. The EE harness is expensive but it's very good quality.

    I like those options.

My single arb failed recently and I’ve already purchased the dual. The idea of trying to squeeze it in the already cramped engine bay is daunting.
I’d already been dreaming up a way to do this rear mount setup and I’m glad I came across this thread.
Looks like you’ve taken most of the guesswork out of making this happen - very grateful for that.

My only thought is how to better enclose the mount system - I haven’t had inner fender liners in the wheel wells for years now and I’ll need to come up with something that closes up the top. Not completely - I understand the need for ventilation due to heat - but if I leave it as-is with this setup the components will be just as vulnerable as if I mounted them in the engine bay.

I’ll be purchasing next week.

Yikes! Expensive is right. I think I'll just buy a roll of heavy gauge wire from Auto Zone. I'm not hooking up to front lockers or anything. Just using it to air up so I don't need the harness.

That would of been fantastic. However i am probably going to end up ordering it this weekend. I have a trip to Jasper and Banff in early July and need to get the compressor in by then. I might be doing the whipsaw later on in the summer hopefully.

in theory be pretty simple. The bottom plate has bolts that you could utilize and possibly add an additional sheet metal section to act as a splash guard.

Yes. You could easily do that. I would suggest going with a larger gauge wire that 10 if this is what you are going to do. You will need at least 15 feet of each section. Things to note. The ARB harness uses two 10 gauge power wires, two 10 gauge ground or negative wires, two more 16 gauge ground wires and a 16 gauge power wire for switching.

I’m not recommending it but I have heard of folks using a single 6 positive and negative along with the 16 guage posititive and negative and they were just fine.

It’s easier if your truck is lifted already. Little more space to spend some quality time with the underside of your taco.

If need any pointers reach out we are usually avail by phone on the weekends as well.

I just finished buttoning up my install in the bed cubby this weekend and worked like a charm yesterday.
4ga jumper cables from the battery to 60amp breaker to a distribution box behind the wheel well, then the ARB harness running from the box to the compressor, A box in the cubby that holds the relay & fuse, then 14ga cables running into the cab for the switch. A big learning experience and headaches getting it done but really happy with out it all turned out in the end. The pictures just don't show my plugged up Cubby Caps reinstalled to help keep the cubby dry.

Installed my twin last night using the EE mounting bracket. The install video says you need a buddy to help. I didn't have a buddy to help. You need a buddy to help! I finally managed it with the help of a floor jack, two cement blocks, a wooden block and a generous amount of Tito's vodka. Now for the hard part tonight. Getting it wired up. I better restock vodka. I didn't take any pics. We all know what an ARB Twin stuffed in a cubby looks like by now.

Can you give the inside dimensions of the compressor box (accounting for any space occupied by the remaining cubby walls)?
Basically, what would be the maximum dimensions of a compressor that would still fit?

I have a different compressor that I've been wanting to fab up a mount for in that location, but if it fits in yours...

If I remember right, 15 amp Switch is what they recommend. That is why I went to a switchpro

What kinds of waterproof connectors do I need to connect into the compressor? I know it's a 3 and 5 pin but I just want to buy it once! I'm try to make my own extension harness.

Well it isn’t just as simple as buying the connectors. There are 4 different pins, three different kinds of seals and three different crimpers for the pins.

You are looking at around 17” most aftermarket compressors will fit inside.
