Another tribute to the safety of these trucks. Compare the jeep to the taco. game-set-match.

So are we going to do a first run next week?

We could start another thread, if it’s more appropriate than in this one? Just let me know. I trolled around in the Southwest forum a bit and those threads seem to die off quickly.

Even though I’ve lived here my whole life, I haven’t done a lot of off-roading outside of when I was a kid and rode moto-x, so I’m not sure of the best places to go. Spent most that time in the West Desert.

If the consensus is a day run for the first meet, then where? I like the idea of AF, but with the marathon on Saturday that could pose a challenge unless we do Sunday.

Could we go somewhere in the Uintahs, or up in Cache Calley?

    What’s the consensus?

I’m looking forward to the Swell first part of July that @Jiveydude suggested. Whose in for that weekend run?

If AF is off the table, Skyline drive starting in Bountiful by the B is a fun senic drive.

Really anything you want, I like sandwiches for the trail. Generally bbq something for dinner. City market is a decent grocery store there in town and there is plenty of delicious restaurants around.

Skip Moab Diner, it’s nothing special. Basically makes you less hungry than you were before. The pizza buffet at Zax is pretty good though — not New York or anything but above average.

What trail are you going to cleanup ? I was 'stuck' in AF last year during around the same time during a bike race. It was quite pleasant. Depending upon the race route, you can always enter through Midvale. I usually go this way since all the trails I want to run are at the far end of the canyon.
