Because AFTER he owns it for 500 miles he's gonna change his mind.

OP the Sport suspension well just plain sucks. If you get the Sport just plan on upgrading to 887 front springs 5100 Bilsteins all around and some progressive AALs for rear springs.

You will get a short lift about >= 2" - suspension will ride A LOT smoother and be stiffer around turns off road and when you hit the brakes.

Cost around $1K - less than the OR package diff from the sport. Then you can Bro it up to a Bro Pro if you want. The OR is well going to be an OR.

Sport LOOKS bad ass with a few $$ it will ride bad ass too!

    Manual transmission it freaking awesome!

Sport suspension doesn't "just plain suck" haha it's an upgrade from the SR5 models just as the OR, the only different is tuning. My sport drives fine on the road no issues, and looks better imo. I get everything the off road has that I need -and it'll go off road.

Oh and I'm pretty sure they are the same pricing too...

Yes, OR and Sport have the exact same price as each other as long as you are comparing like models

I always see OR's for more $$ around here where I'm at.

Yes the sport suspension sucks bro. Upgrade it and then tell me you wish you had it back on! Just sayin.

I can't even give my Sport suspension away. Next trip to the dump its in there.

Just realized you don't even have a 3rd gen? That sir disqualifies your opinion on the matter

I'm a photographer in Wyoming and I drive a 2011 TRD Sport, and sometime the roads that I go on to get some of my photographs are rutted up roads with a descent pitch for a non-offroad road and I've never had an issue using a Sport for some of these roads. Just like everyone else is saying, it depends on what you want in your truck and what you are going to use it for.

Ahh take it back then (like the grill btw!). Still think TRDs a TRD -they're at the same trim level. This is starting to remind me of whenever I try to argue with a democrat :smack:

I had the same struggle with my decision with the Sport vs OR. I went with the Sport and don't regret it at all!!!

I love my sport. I do mostly highway driving, but I did get the 4 x 4, for camping purposes and going to the desert and to do some offroading. I don't plan on doing crazy offroading (i.e. rock climbing, crazy trails), so for me it is perfect. I think it just all comes down to your needs and wants. The OR package for me seemed awesome but I just wasn't going to use it all that much to justify it.

Off Road. I don't like the Sport hood or the wheels.

Thanks guys, I took an extended drive in an auto SR5 today and drove a manual OR, and the manual was FAR superior. That auto was worse than I imagined on the highway. I really like everything about the OR, just liked the less body lean and roll on the sport. Just curious if anyone has changed anything to their OR suspension to tighten it up a little on the road, if so that would make the OR an easy choice

    No full bladder!

A few beers in tonight maybe the SR and SR5 guys can get into it. Maybe the Limited and Pro guys?

That's an answer that a Jiffy mom that eats at Panera Bread, drives a Subaru, has a black lab named Edie Brickell, and listens to NPR would give.
