The GASSHOLE™ 2nd Gen Fuel Cap holder

Officially used my Gasshole today!
It was a little loose with my Stant locking cap but a slight twist engaged the threads and locked it up tight.
Now when I get old and senile I won't have to worry about leaving my cap up on the bedside.

1E7DCSB got any pictures of the notched GASSHOLE? This is what I need to do with mine. My truck has been in the shop for the last week (rear end accident), but as soon as I get it back this is 1 of my first jobs to do.

 

I don’t yet because I’m working on painting the lettering. I’ll try to get one later on

 

Wtf you painting it with? I tried a thin paint stick, but too big. You using model paint brushes?

 

I honestly haven’t decided what I’m going to use lol. Not going to have time to finish cleaning up the notches or paint until next week because I’m going to pick up a new grille for the truck so I put it on incomplete anyway

Canadian here. I ordered mine on June 4th and it arrived today. Buuuuuuuuuuuttttttttt, I ordered 2 of them and I got a package with only 1 in it.

Got mine. It is the best printed product I personally have seen to date.

 

You must have a 2009-12, because that's the only years that it works for.

@mesojdm are you redesigning this so that it work for all year 2nd gen models?
I haven't seen you post anything on this thread since it's been discovered that this ONLY WORKS ON 2009-15, yet it seems you're still selling them with no year restrictions or notices.

 

There are those with 2014 Taco's that have it working... FlyerFan35 is an example. I have a 2014... man I hope it works fine when it finally arrives...

You're absolutely right, I pulled up a wrong picture for that year's cap.
It's looking like a 2005-08 problem. I'll edit my rant threads

I'm not hating on OP, I appreciate his products and all seem to be quality work. This has been an oversight and I'm trying to inform other TW members so they don't buy a product that doesn't work for their truck. We shouldn't have to mod a mod for it to work. I am a little frustrated that OP hasn't acknowledged this oversight and shown any effort to resolve the problem.

Just installed mine today! First mod in the books, thanks OP! To touch on the comments about the screw. It was difficult (impossible) to reverse it out with Phillips screwdriver manually.. almost stripped. I used my Ryobi power drill at power setting 2 up top and set to the drill position and it reversed out no problem. Gas cap fits snug!

 

I used a # 10 wrench to hold onto the nut in the back and my drill to loosen up the screw.
