What's the point of the Limited trim?

that's what im sayin, even with the upgrades the Pro comes with, IMO they aren't worth the 5-7K extra. Ford has done it right with their truck trim levels. like the King Ranch that has some very exclusive interior features, and the Raptor that has a significant power boost not to mention the suspension/body.

Toyotas just like, "lets throw a chrome badge and a few off the shelf parts on these things and call them a limited and a PRO"

 

Don't think most would disagree with that.

 

I just wish they allowed you to get the lower trims with all of the safety features.

Yes but parking sensors, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic alert are only available in the sport, off road, limited and TRD Pro.

 

I bet at the next refresh, that will all be standard across the board or included with TSS.

 

Yeah and hopefully they will also add front parking sensors as well.

Personally I like the limited, the chrome looks great but the color of the leather is not for me and didn't want a sunroof. I personally think the the trd sport is just as classy looking a truck as a limited. Love the wheels on a limited. Not being able to get a longbed was the deal breaker for me. I will be doing leather seats shortly.

 

My factory Homelink works for a few minutes after I shut the truck off.
It goes into an "off" mode after that - if I hop in the truck a few minutes after parking and shutting it off, the light flashes red and won't open my garage door.

 

I look at it the other way, unless you want a fake hood scoop, there's no reason to buy a sport, your better off with an off road.

Just a joke bud. If you were in the SW you'd get it, the limiteds are usually a certain customer demographic.

 

I think it's all about what you're going to do with the truck. For me the sport made sense because I wont be taking mine off pavement and I get a lot of upgrades (shocks, interior, outlet. Etc.) That doesn't come on the sr5, basically it's everything I need in a daily commuter AND I get the scoop! Again it's all personal, but the sport totally makes sense for those who want features but don't need cc or multi-terrain select. Still a very capable off-roader too

I believe the sport, OR and pro have different suspension. Sport has slightly diff tuned suspension and the pro has the fox suspension. The OR has the billstien shocks. Not sure about the rest.

 

There are lots of threads on this. I think the SR5 and Limited have the same suspension.

 

I agree with this. Toyota's done what the domestics have done for years. They've put pretty much all the features of the limited available on the lower trims which weakens the limited.

To me, the choice between a sport and a limited is whether you want the scoop and whether you want black or hickory leather. Difference between OR and Pro is if you want the fox suspension and the mild lift.

While there's lot of talk about cost between the various trims but for me and I suspect many other people we're not driving Tundras and other full sizes trucks not because we can't afford them, it's because they're simply too big to navigate and park in an urban environment. If there were a Tacoma "king ranch" or other trim with top end finish with real wood interior trim, panoramic sunroof, 360 degree camera, self driving, truly awesome sound system, 10" nav screen, full time 4wd with hi/lo, heated and cooled power seats, 10 speed auto from the Lexus, superior sound insulation, basically a Lexus truck. I wouldn't care if it cost $50k or $70k, I'd buy one.

 

Would this dream truck be available in MT? Cuz you just got my attention...
