Just my 2 cents, but that's going to be tough to do. I tried 315/75 but in 17" and I have 6.5" of lift and it rubbed bad at cab mount. Granted, yours have more back spacing and offset, but...20180402_173053.jpg

Sure, as long as you’re ready to cut a lot :sawzall:

35” tires can fit, but you’ll want to cut ~2” off from the entire fender, probably need to bash the firewall in a bit with a sledge, and go aggressive on the cab mount chop.

Too little back spacing can also be a problem. The further out the wheel is the more tire will rub the cab mount.

@Catfish21 you might want to see if the wheels and tires will work without the spacers first. And by “work” I mean not rub the UCA or spindle. It’ll still rub the fender and cab mount until you do a lot of cutting.

If you get a chance to take some, might be some people in here that would appreciate them

    1. Be cautious with tire choice, not all 265/70-17 tires will mount a 9" wide wheel.
    2. Due to the width and offset of that wheel, even with a 265 there's a strong chance you'll slightly rub the rear of the front fender well when turning. If you do though, it'll probably be the inside lip of the fender flare which is very easy to trim and doesn't effect the look at all since you wouldn't see it unless you were looking for it.

Can someone please tell me if 265/75/16 on a 16x8 steelie will fit if it has 4.25” of BS? I wasn’t told I need at least 4.5” or it won’t clear the caliper?

Steel wheels rarely clear the calipers on our trucks due to the back of the spokes on the wheel.

What wheel and what part number are you looking at?

3427860P is likely to fit with its 5” BS but I am not a fan of the styling and the offset is +13 which is “less” than stock but not what I’m really going for. https://www.cragarwheel.com/wheels/wheelsdetails/series-342-d-window

I am a big fan of the Pro Cook 252 series but unless 4.25 BS is enough, looks like they won’t work in any configuration.
    https://www.4wheelparts.com/Wheels/...x?t_c=11&t_s=535&t_pt=101508&t_pn=PCW252-6183

I have honestly looked all over and the Cragars are the only ones with enough BS, and I’m not even 100% sure on that. It looks like I either need to run spacers (which I refuse to do) or shave calipers?

Gotcha. You may need to shave the calipers. * from what I’ve read * wheelers used to offer a steel wheel that fit, and as far as I know, this is the only steel wheel that will fit - https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/a-16-pro-comp-steel-wheel-that-fits.409555/

Hahaha no, same calipers. Just has to do with how the spokes are designed. Factory wheels are made to clear the calipers, where as aftermarket wheels are made to keep the cost down.

I’d recommend those pro comp steel wheels because it’s known they’ll fit!

Might be my only option. Thank you for your help. I have a 4wheelParts location near me, I might see if I can try some other models if they keep them in stock.
