interior cleaning products causes off gassing (film on Windows) which causes a oily film on the inside of Windows . To clean your interior side of your windows use Rubbing alcohol

Doing this prior to cleaning with Windex will give your windows a professional detailing clean appearance

I concur. My method is similar in order.
    1. Use Pine-Sol Multi-Surface Cleaner
    2. Invisible Glass Premium Glass Cleaner
My windshield and windows are invisible after 2 steps above.

Invisible glass works well. Have not notice the off gassing issue others have referenced.

Also, depends on your interior products you are using.

No reason to use rubbing alcohol. Typically the off gassing is from what is put on the dash.

I use Invisible Glass. I have tint so I can’t use non-film safe cleaning methods.

Toothpaste sounds stupid but also an expensive waste of toothpaste.

Use a simple glass cleaner. The inside of your glass really shouldn’t be that dirty lol

Even then a simple glass cleaner works. Not sure why anyone would need to rub toothpaste on the inside of their windows lol

One benefit of using the toothpaste method is that your glass will never get cavities?

true. yeah the toothpaste sounded weird to me too? putting aside the fact that toothpaste is for teeth, it comes in relatively small tubes and costs a fortune compared to glass cleaner

Something no detailing shelf should be without. I don't clean my house windows often because the cats always make a mess of them.

I do smoke in my truck so I clean more often. I use Invisible Glass and a microfiber towel..sometimes I need to do it again a few days later though.

    LOL

Ok... I have to ask now.
How do your cats mess up your windows? Lol

My cat will sit by my windows but she doesn’t do like dog nose art on them haha

Just like you mentioned, nose art. Especially on the kitchen windows, the picture window in the living room where the bird feeders are, and the window to the back yard when I'm out in my pool.

You've not met my 4 little monsters. They love birdie watching..Chase was an outdoor cat before I adopted him and he will do that or scrabble at the window with his paws like he's trying to open it.

Granted their print is smaller than a dog's nose, but they make up for it in quantity.
