Favorite way to cook Lobster and especially King Crab legs. Once you do it will not care for the soggy steamed way anymore. Just have to be careful to not dry them out. But they are fantastic! Good call Marty

Gawd I hate porkies with a passion. Several of my friends have had dogs die from being quilled. Hard to get them all and some break off and keep working their way inside and puncture the brain or heart. Good luck Kevin no way to start the day, did I mention I hate porkies? Didn't know you had them down there thought it was just a far North thing. They will also eat the wiring on your truck when your in the woods hunting and leave you stranded when you try to start it.

Current Toller hasn't tangled with one yet have always been able to call him off. The guy in my avatar loved to tree them. Just had to take a picture of this one it is the largest one I have ever seen.

The dogs ears are laid back because after treeing him he wanted to play with it and I'm standing hard on the ecollar. After I took the shot the porkie climbed down and all hell broke loose. Now I don't take chances and like every other bird hunter with dogs I know shoot them and throw them high in the fork of a tree so another dog can't get hit by it. Of course only in States where that is legal....

No big fishies today and it was a bit of a struggle getting bait.
    Chunked and live lined.
Still can't beat the conditions today...

Good morning folks, lobster good, porcupine bad.

Got a little rain. My son and daughter-in-law got back from Mexico sometime after I went to bed and subsequently woken up around 0130. She brought back her little (almost) teacup Chihuahua and my dogs were trying to get to know it and it was not having any of that....nothing like seeing your big pit with a Chihuahua hanging off the side of his head by it's teeth. Sorry but I thought it was pretty funny.

That would certainly work! I use clarified butter and baste generously. I cut up a stick of butter and microwave for one minute in a coffee cup and use a baster to pull the clarified butter out. Dump the solids out and do the same for another stick of butter. Don't have to clarify it but I do, just because LOL. Then mince 2 cloves of garlic and throw it in with the clarified butter. Not sure the DNA from ancestor dot com is correct pretty sure there is some Italian in my blood someplace. There is certainly some garlic in my blood, that I know :anonymous:

With the king crab legs I used to baste the shell with olive oil but now use avocado oil. With some clarified butter for dipping of course.

I'd double like this if I could, agree 100%

About that avacodo.. Might be over the top for some but did a couple the other night. You'd have to start them ahead of the lobster though. Slice in half and remove the pit and shell them. Fill the pit cavity with shredded cheddar cheese and put them back together. Then of course wrap them in bacon. Grill until the bacon is done.

Yes at Home Depot and Lowes both. They do it for Memorial Day, Labor Day, and the 4th of July.

With the military discount it comes out to ~$4.50 a bag. Think I am set until the fall sale now back up the bottom of the Musky net :anonymous:
