Yes sir! He was five months in that picture. He’s 6 now, so a little older, little bigger, still a terror! Ha!

This is Macy. AKA "The Princess". She thinks humans are crazy to leave a perfectly good air conditioned house to brave the outdoors. She will come to the garage while I'm working because she loves my company but if I go out to mow or water she watches from the door. Needless to say, I don't take her camping.

I cant even walk my pup with the sun out during the summer. If it gets too hot out when I'm camping with the him I just run the truck with the a/c and let him enjoy it. Here he was 3 months ago after he had jumped in when I was getting stuff out. He didnt want to come back out into the heat so I started the truck and let him get blasted in the face with the a/c, I think it was 90-95 that day. He's on a ~20' lead hooked to one of my front shackles so he could get out whenever he wanted.

I'm looking for a puppy I can raise as a camping buddy. Macy was already grown when I got her. She was raised by an elderly lady that was moving to an assisted living facility and couldn't keep her. A mutual friend assured her I liked animals more than people and would give her a good home. She didn't even ask, just brought her over and said congrats, you have another daughter. :)

I picked mine up from a rescue when he was around 8wks old. Hes been traveling with me and camping since then. It was rough at first having him in the truck and he would wine a lot in the back seat and I took him for rides every few days for 15-30 minutes but now he loves it. His first big trip he was around 4-5 months old with a 12+ hr drive and he did great! He rides in the truck a few times a week and even opens the window if I dont do it for him. :rofl:I have to remember to lock them if its raining.

Buy a cheap kiddie pool and fill it up with water and ice. Best way to keep pups happy and cool.
Dogs over heat so fast when the temps get above 75 degrees.

This is Pongo. We had to put him down yesterday, hardest thing I’ve done in a long time. He was a pretty damn good dog. Climbed Pikes Peak and other CO mountains with me, fetched the paper, and took care of us almost as good as we took care of him. He was nearly 16 and his hips would give out on him a lot in recent months, didn’t want him to be in any more pain...but DAMN it hurts to watch them go.

Sorry guys & gals, had to share his passing from our family.

So sorry. RIP Pongo. One of the toughest things for a pet parent.
