That's way cool. I recently bought this mail box:

    https://www.homedepot.com/p/Gibraltar-Mailboxes-Plastic-Black-Post-Mount-Mailbox-GMB515B01/207205059

I like the price, the size and that little pop up mail indicator I can see coming or going.

Beckley, I think that is down where we would go to ride the Hatfield & MCcoy trails. Does that mailbox easily attach to a 4x4 post?

Yea, Beckley is quite a way south from you.

I attached a 1" x 4" piece of plywood to the top of the post and then screwed into the sides of the mail box. The mail box has a channel under it for that. Or it will attach right to the post.

You might want a locking mail box though for up there.

I have a couple full timers that can check it for me if I'm expecting something.

Oh, then that one I linked would be good. They won't have to get out of the vehicle to check it. There is a little tab on the side of the hinge in the door and that yellow flag is just rotated up when the door is opened. I am thinking about adding a piece of reflective tape over the yellow sticker so I can see the flag better at night. This is a little larger than the small, regular mail boxes too so packages will fit.

Yellow flag will also let strangers know that there’s something in the mail box and since it’s quite a distance to his cabin or his neighbors it might not be a good idea .

Well, I thought about that too with mine. Then I thought, if they are gonna check the mail box they are gonna check it no matter what. Plus, most of my mail is bills, never any form of money. They can have my bills. All outgoing mail is deposited here at work or my wifes work, which are both downtown. We get an occasional package, but nothing of real value, and if it is, it is insured. It's a fair trade off to not have to get out of the car in the pouring rain only to find and empty box. On the flip side of that coin, it sux thinking there is something worth the stop when you are holding back a raging piss only to find some stupid propaganda or sales flyer BS so the flag kind of tempts you to stop. For the limited times it is down, it is nice.

If our post office was open more often, meaning more hours, I would have a P.O. box for mail and have packages sent here to my work and remove the box at my house. Then I could also just leave the mis-mailed crap I constantly get right at the post office!

Best part is, with this mail box, it's up to you if you want to add that little flip up flag or not. You don't have to if you don't want to.

    But I feel ya.

I put stickers for more horse power!
Yesterday I helped a woman on the side of the road by 295 and 695. She had a flat tire, and with her, there was a boy about 8yrs old. As I was changing the tire, she was telling him how there is still good people around. I told her you dont have to pay me anything, the way you can pay me back is by helping some one in the future. When I was leaving she hugged me and he was impressed by my mechanical skills :D, of changing a flat tire. I think that boy will always remember me as the stranger hero on his lifted 4runner!! :muscleflexing:

The little guy will think back to this moment when he’s on the side of the road helping someone out as well. Awesome.

Good Afternoon Maryland TW! I got new leaf pack installed, however I still have this clicking noise in my drive shaft at the rear pinion. What do you think it is? A shop recommended traction bars, but still feel like this clicking ,might exist.

    Being Expo as fuck.

First trip to the shore this summer. Took the kids and met my mom. Newborn napped in the tent. I was slightly jealous. Greyson had me going 100 mph playing in the water.
