Flaking and really milky looking. Going with paint this time. Powdercoat quote was $400. Too rich for my blood.

Well ended up not getting uca on today because of the top long bolt that holds the uca...can't get it out because it's hitting the cab and fender lining so they're just gonna cut the bolt out get a new one from dealer and put it in the other wayo_O

You can bend that metal back with some vice grips if you access it from underneath the hood and the bolt will come right out. The metal is pretty thin and it's in a place you'll never see.

Awesome! I don't have any cameras inside the house... wife does not want to be on-camera all the time, too creepy for her. I'm heavily invested in Nest products already (Nest thermostat, Nest Hello, Nest Protects etc...) so it makes sense to stay in the eco system.

I feel for you. I kept telling myself "oh it's fine, it's just road salt from winter." Except it never came off. IveI got to get mine redone too except I really don't feel like pulling the sliders off again. Guess I'll be doing a lot of prep work

I removed the original bedside decals that were worn and the clear protective film behind the cab that had black gunk around the edges. Then I gave her a very good wash, clay bar, and polish job.

And finally I put on some new bedside decals.

Should have taken a before pic of the hitch, but there was a 90 degree bend in the plate, the plug cover was broken off... it was a disaster. I went to my landlord to borrow a chain saw and ended up hammering out the mounting bracket on an anvil to straighten it back out, replacing the plug, soldering a longer piece of wiring onto it, and then welded the new bracket onto the old one so it would fit back on the truck. The hardest part was realizing that only the blue wire and white wires transferred... the rest I had to figure out where they went. I caught some shit from @Pigpen because I didn't move the plug spot to the bumper... he says I'm just going to break it again... we'll see...
