 I get that and I'm glad other dealers are starting to embrace technology that has been available for decades. It's long overdue.

You don’t want a car with a rebuilt title. No bueno.

    Why? We all are driving
    Why?

We all are driving 20 year old trucks. Does it really matter that it's not a clear title?

For that matter, all my Toyota trucks were salvege title trucks.

The only issue is Banks don't like to loan money to by salvege titled vehicles.

Insurance may be higher on a salvage/rebuilt title too, but I think that depends on your location more than anything.

I have a lot of free time when I’m not working and have no money to go anywhere.
Salvage titles could be like a ticking time bomb.

What if the truck was flooded?
What if the truck has a bent frame?
What if there’s nothing wrong with the truck and the insurance just totaled it out for no reason?

    It’s a gamble.

If you are on this thread, you already are considered " 1 percenter". You know more about these trucks then 99 percent of the rest of people that buy these trucks.

You most likely know what to look for.

Who knows what happened to them that caused it to be salvaged. Could have been flooded, crashed, rolled, etc etc - the list goes on. I've seen lots of shady repairs that defeat a lot of safety features in order for the car to get rolling again. For example, repair shops like to replace airbags with resistors to trick the computer into thinking the airbag is functional, when in reality the SRS system is dead. Not only are Salvage title vehicles harder to insure, they loose a lot value.

Yes, they are 20 year old trucks. But the point being is that the title status doesn't matter, it's the repairs and/or integrity of the vehicle that matters. Like @JKO1998 said, it's a gamble. A gamble I'm not willing to take unless I explicitly know the damage, or know what repairs have been made firsthand. Safety first.

I’d be more tempted to take the gamble too if it are like 1k or so. 7k’s a lot of money to risk.
That’s a pretty big accusation, I don’t know shit

For $7k, the hell I am!

Maybe if it was $1-$2k sure, but $7k is clean title reliable vehicle pricing.
