I forgot I took this pic... So, two weeks ago I installed new tires and wheels, and set an appointment for an alignment on the following Monday afternoon. The ticket was misplaced and the tech was directed to get my truck done immediately since I had been waiting (they threw in a 25% discount to make up for it). They get it done, and program the new TPMS sensors for free, and off I go. Rides amazing now; drove it all week.

Fast forward to the next weekend, and I decide to install the BudBuilt skids I picked up here. I drop the front OEM skid and my eyes notice this:

I laugh, as it's not the first time a mechanic has left a tool in/on the vehicle after working on it. While I know the pliers are not the proper tool, it's not the end of the world. Anyways... once the skids are all mounted, I take it for a test drive to make sure nothing is resting against something and vibrating/making noise, etc... and decide to stop by the shop to return the pliers. The guy behind the counter was surprised, and then asked me if the jamb nut was tight... this had not crossed my mind, as I assumed all the work was done (to include tightening the jamb nut) and the tech simply forgot to retrieve the pliers. Now I'm a bit worried, especially if the alignment changed. The guy grabs a creeper and the proper wrenches from someone, comes out to the street where I parked, and goes under and checks both sides just to be sure. All was well, which was a relief. I appreciated the effort, particularly since I hadn't considered whether or not the jamb nut was tight.

It was the Big O at Hampden and Tower. While I haven't had much work for them (mostly tires and wheels stuff), they always fit me in same-day and do patch-plugs for free. The delay in getting the alignment done and leaving the tool attached were the first issues I've had with them... and in the grand scheme of things, were minor.

need some in-put before I out-put. Thinking of replacing rear leafs with EL095r or EL096r. leaning (no pun intended) to the 095r. ??? Will Bilstein 24186728 (standard rear 5100s) provide enough travel, or is there an extended 5100 series I should be looking for. ???
