Front Bumper replacement

Had an accident while on the trail, and wondering what’s the easiest way to go about replacing the front bumper that’s white, with an OEM one, here in Southern California?

Is there a junkyard that would have Tacoma inventory parts? Or a good source for OEM parts that are already painted white?

Really don’t want to go through insurance, or pay a ridiculous out of pocket cost. Nor do I want to go aftermarket front bumper that’s Steel or Aluminum.

I have one that just came off my truck. It's not pristine but hasn't been in a accident. If interested pm me. I am in Los Angeles

 

Should be able to pop it out with some pressure. Doesnt really look like anything broke except maybe a flare clip.

Naw, it’s ripped on the bottom. Not worth it, at this point.

 

Pretty easy to take that bumper off. There's a few youtube vids for headlight replacement that covers taking that skin off and putting it back on..

I did it and it took me like 20 minutes off and 10 minutes back on. Pop out the indentation, re-install resume..

 

It’s ripped on the bottom, also it etched deep gouges into the plastic. Almost seems at this point a bumper replacement from a salvage yard or another member on TW would be the better option.

I hear what your saying though. I might try an pop it out with some boiling water and see how it looks...

 

G/L with it... the pic sorta kinda looks like there's a bump in on the corner, there's nothing behind the corner. Anyways its an easy replacement. The rear bumper not so much.

 

I dented mine in pretty good and popped it out with pressure from behind. No heat or anything was used. It at least makes it look better until I find a replacement.

 

The rear bumper was pretty simple..... a waterfall down hill ripped that shit right off

 

Plate bumper FTW??

 

Replaced it with a tyger auto step.

Next mod = new tires, just sayin. You should go for some all terrain type.

Interesting license plate mount application you have there.

I didnt even feel the front bumper damage happen happen. Once I got off the trail and someone pointed it out to me. The next morning we popped it out and I havent taken the time to try and fix it any better. It broke a mounting tab or 2 up by the headlight, I'll probably try and plastic weld it into working shape again. The fender flare is done and needs replaced. That was only part of the damage that happened that night... I removed the rest of the pics from that post. You can see the rest if you link to the original post in my build thread.

I have 3 different size zipties in my tool kit. They can be very useful out on the trails.
