Maxtrac Spindle Lift for 2nd Gen Prerunners

Damn your truck is looking great! You know about how much lift they gave you in addition to the spindles?

How's the ride and are they 5100 shocks?

 

Thanks man. I haven’t gotten the chance to measure it. The ride is better. Way more clearance. My spc ucas are coming on Monday so I’ll be able to dial in my alignment properly and get my drive back right and tight.

 

Nice sounds good. I'm going to need a little something fresh up front to hold this puppy up.

I would genuinely appreciate it as I'm trying to make a decision by Friday.

 

For those of y'all who have removed aftermarket UCAs from your Maxtrac spindles, do you have any pointers on how to break loose the nut at the bottom of the ball joint bolt? Because I have Dirt King UCAs, the nut is 9/16th but I cannot for the life of me fit a wrench nor an impact socket on the nut. The wrench barely fits, but then I don't have any leverage as the wrench is against the frame.

A hodgepodge of sockets, extensions, and made up cuss words solved the problem.

 

FYI to all the guys who bought there maxtracs second hand, make sure to get the hardware from the previous owner, fucking $52 after tax for all the nuts, bolts, clips, and washers. FYI 2, Lowes, Home Depot, and EVEN Ace hardware don’t carry it all at once. My Lowes didn’t carry 5/8 locking nylon nuts SAE, Home Depot laughs in your face when you ask them for help, and ACE... ACE’s hardware supplier is Hillman, the hillman man comes every two weeks to restock, and apparently Hillman only ships 3-5/8in locking nylon nuts, 3 fucking nuts, at one time in one box, that’s it. Shout out to the guy who bought 1 of them and only left me with the 2 of 4 I needed...
