Yea you don’t want it any wider than 50.
Your not pushing enough compression or fuel to warrant it.
In fact higher compression needs smaller gap.
If it was me and you drive it a while the next set of plugs you put in I would see how it is at 45 and be honest with it.

 

Dam the target looks really far away and really small at 40 yards

Just got back from doing some shopping and the winds here are Strong with a lot of sand and dust blowing around !! . My Tacoma was getting tossed around especially at stoplights . Even the Calif Aquaduct you can see white caps

Winds are 15-20mph gusting 30-40mph

We lost power about 45 minutes ago. I got generator going. We got water, sepic, few lights, and thank God, TV. No storms in area. At least it's cloudy out.

I just took the Camaro out for a little test hit and I'm thinking of changing the Advance curve

My buddy set it up with a blue " light" and silver " light" adv springs with a blue 21° adv stop bushing . This curve is at full advance at 2200rpm , initial at 14° and total 37°

I'm thinking of going silver " light " springs which will be full advance by 900 rpm

What rpm are you driving around at ?

 

2800 - 3500 rpm

 

So you got full advance at driving rpm.
What’s your idle rpm?

You woodworking guys would like to visit my basement. I have all of my father's woodworking tools - he is a retired master cabinet maker. There's a Rockwell shaper down there, jointer, planer, more saws than I'll ever need, lathe, and an assortment of routers.

When I was given the equipment, I was told "there's never been any blood on these tools, don't start now". BTW, sandals in the workshop???

 

My dad gave all his stuff away I'd have loved to have gotten it. He made some beautiful pieces

Why do you want full advance at idle?

 

It was easier to get them down there than it'll be to bring them out. Main difference is that I was younger and had a better back when they were brought over.
